“It's expensive but worth it.”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

I took this trip with my daughter and we took the telecabine to Italy, this is an expensive trip but well worth it. If you are in Chamonix and the weather is good then bite the finical bullet and do it!

“Aiguille de Midi - Breathtaking”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

We travelled up to the Aiguille de Midi peak on a sunny, blue-skied day and the view at the top was incredible. We already had MBU ski passes so the trip was free; otherwise it's a rather expensive 50€ return trip. The two cable cars were quick and the view at the peak was worth the effort. Care has been taken to create large, open terraces with brilliant photo opportunities. A visit to "The Void" at the top - a fully glass box suspended off the edge of a cliff - is also a definite must. Choose the right weather and you won't be disappointed. Just bear in mind that the top is also the starting point for the off-piste skiing of La Vallee Blanche, so the trip up can be a bit cramped what with all the skiers and their gear.

“Fantastic experience”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

Absolutely amazing experience! A bit scary to go up 3000 m and be prepared, as it's very cold up there! But the view is astonishing, I've never seen anything so beautiful!

There's a pass that costs about 2 € more than the normal return ticket for the cable car, and it also gives you free same-day entry to the Montenvers train that takes you up to Mer de Glace, Europe's largest glacier. It's worth the trip if you don't have anything else to do in Chamonix during the day (and if you're not skiing, you probably don't).

“Absolutely remarkable view”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

If you come to Chamonix and do only two things, this is one of them: the view of Mont Blanc and the Alps, all the way to the Matterhorn in central Switzerland, cannot be beat. Expect to be a bit out-of-breath though, you're at 3800 meters!

“High altitude experience”
Reviewed March 21, 2014

We had a few hours spare before leaving Chamonix after a week of skiing, so took the incredible telecabine from town up to the summit of l'Aiguille de Midi. Awesome scenery and cold! Even worth the extra cost as our ski passes had expired (the weather didn't cooperate when we tried earlier in the week).
