Owner description: From Chamonix (1035m), fly over the forest to reach le Plan de l’Aiguille in 10 minutes (2317m). On your right, the Glacier des Bossons, in front of you the Mont-Blanc (4810m), on your left the Aiguille Verte, the Drus and the Aiguilles de Chamonix. Then take a second cable car which, in just 10 minutes takes you up to 3777m, over the seracs, the glacier des Pelerins and the hanging glaciers on the north face of the Aiguille du Midi. . From the top, a sightseeing panorama unique in the world. Experience a very high altitude.

We lucked out and the clouds finally cleared on our 4th day. Make sure to go when cloud cover is limited otherwise it will really impact the experience. There is a nice Cafe and try to pair with trains to the ice caves for an incredible ~Alpine (non-skiing) experience

The cable car ride to the Aiguille is amazing but try to get up for the early cars otherwise you could be in the queues of tourists.
Our experience involved travelling up with 30+ mountaineers (armed with ropes, ice axes etc) and returning a couple of hours later with 30+ Japanese tourists (with cameras etc).
The Helbronner ride from the Aiguille is also a must with fantastic views of Mont Blanc but the cable cars will not operate in windy conditions.

Wow, amazing location, incredible views - stunning location.

BUT the cafeteria restaurant was possibly the worst I have ever visited. Avoid it! We queued for an hour for the disgusting offering, and were astonished by the inefficient rude service. We only had frankfurter and chips - how can that take so long, and be so totally devoid of flavour? Yuk!

This is a must do as it is the closest you can get to the Mont Blanc without actually climbing it!
Well organised, plenty of various terraces at the top to allow different views. Good value cafeteria.
