After having stayed in Chamonix last year for New Year we vowed never to go back......wasn't a great experience on the slopes at all. But i'm pleased to say after spending a week in Chalet Cosmique i can't wait to come back. Michael and Jacqui were just fantastic. Dropping us off at various slopes, picking us up, nothing was a problem. Chalet was perfect, having a tub and sauna always a bonus with beautiful views of the mountains while in tub.
Michael was very knowledgeable and helpful too,as i'm not as confident a skier as the rest of my family, he was able to recommend areas to find my feet first....I love Chamonix now
Chalet is in close proximity to train and bus stop. Local shops are literally a minute away.
Couldn't recommend it more highly, might even come back in the summer! :)

We had a wonderful week at Chalet Cosmique. As three families we found the space worked tremendously well. Located over three floors it provided ample opportunities for privacy and quiet time whilst the communal spaces also suited the large group. Children and adults alike all loved the chalet.
The bespoke dining table comfortably seats 12 and provided a great place to gather for an evening meal. The kitchen is very well equipped and being adjacent to the dining space the cooks were always part of the group.
Although the chalet is a good 20 minute walk into town, it is a very short walk (3 or 4 mins) to the bus stop and it is also just a minute or so to the baker and supermarket.
Everyone enjoyed the facilities available, hot tub, sauna, bbq, pool table, table tennis and bar along with boot room.
However it gets even better......Michael the owner (along with Jackie) is just the nicest and most helpful guy. The chalet can be hired on a self catering basis, which we did, or can come catered (Jackie takes over for this) which is very flexible. But not only that, when hiring it on a self catered basis Michael still provides a drop off and pick up service at no extra charge-what a fabulous bonus and he dropped us wherever we wanted, even doing a double run the first day to collect kit, drop kids at ski school etc and was there again at the end of the day to return us to the chalet or drop us in town. His knowledge of the area, restaurants, bars and tuition (thanks to Paul for Sam's boarding tuition) is also superb. Whilst living just next door M&J were on hand as required but at the same time were very discrete and left everyone to enjoy their stay.
Fabulous hosts we will certainly be back when returning to Chamonix . Michael you have converted us :-)

Chalet Cosmique had a good kitchen, sauna and spa but that's it.
This is the 6 th chalet I have rented in Chamonix, and it was the most expensive and least succesfull.
Location was to far from centre 25 min walk, it had the worst beds I have ever slept in. Was not functional as dinnertable simply did not work - to big and uncosy. No family gathering due to 3 floors - no ensuites. This will not be rented again. Would probably suit 12 male skifreaks with the pool etc - but don't go as family.
The landlord couple were very nice but could not really improve the situation.
Long overdue so apologises to Michael and Jackie. Chalet is awesome as photos show, location is great, an easy reach of all the lifts. Hot tub and sauna perfect after a day on the slopes. Bar and pool table good fun for at home après with the kids. Wifi as good as at home. Nice little garden to build snowmen with the kids. The chalet and facilities are great but what sets this apart are Michael and Jackie (owners) who are there for your every need, great company and really chilled nothing seems too much trouble. Jackie's meals were superb and great variety, would def recommend the catered option, have eaten at a lot of chalets and this was by far the best. We had one veggie in our group who had her own special meals which were just as tasty. Michael knew the best ski areas and gave us the low down of where the best snow would be for the day. If going to chamonix you would need to pay attention to buses as the different mountains are spread out however this is not an issue when staying at Cosmique as Michael drops you off and collects you everyday. Michael and Jackie are full time long term residents not just seasonaires so they pretty much know everyone and everything about Cham, whatever you need I'm sure they will help. Also pre arrival Michael was excellent with communication and organisation even when I kept pestering about the snow! We went 02-09 Jan and luckily it dumped loads the day we arrived and quite a bit whilst we were out there. I could go on for ages but a testament to how good it was is the fact we booked for next year before leaving.
My friends and I have just got back from staying here for the week and the place is absolutely amazing. Not only is the Chalet unbelievably beautiful but the views from the hot tub are stunning. Michael and Jackie are wonderful hosts and I would highly recommend opting for the catering if you stay here, the food is delicious. I would come back here to stay without a shadow of a doubt. Brilliant! They took us to a comedy night which was ace and they have the cutest dog. An amazing experience in a wonderful house and two of the nicest host I've ever met. Thanks a bunch. Great help getting round in Michael's van too. Nice little perk.
We stayed at Chalet Cosmique in a group of 9 people, and I believe that two people even had their own room. Lots of space and everyone was very comfortable.
Some of us were not skiing due to injury and found the chalet was very comfortable & entertaining, with the massive flat screen TV and the Pool table downstairs.
The Chalet was and easy 20 min walk from the town centre, and there is a bus stop really close by, or a taxi will have you in the centre in 5min if you fancy taking the lazy option.
There is a supermarket & bakery 30 seconds away from the Chalet on foot which is really useful for stocking up on supplies!
The hot tub was also great fun and great to relax in with a cool beer and good conversation.
I look forward to booking with Michael again who was really helpful and accommodating regarding getting around Chamonix.
From the first moment we contacted the hosts, Jacqui and Michael, we knew we were in safe hands as they easily answered every question we had about the chalet and our trip to Chamonix. When we arrived it felt immediately like going to stay with old friends as they welcomed us with bubbly and excitedly told us that the recent dump of snow meant a lot of lifts were opening for the very first time that day.
Our hosts joined us on the slopes for a couple of days and clearly know everyone in the resort which meant we felt more like locals than tourists. They showed us some brilliant apres too, including a really excellent cocktail bar (the name escapes me) and also made an absolutely superb restaurant recommendation for our dinner out on Jacqui's night off.
We went for the catered option which was a genius idea as Jacqui's delicious food helped fuel long days on the mountain. We also took full advantage of the sauna and outdoor jacuzzi and will probably never be able to stay in a chalet without those luxuries after that experience.
Everything was clean, comfortable and spacious, the food and company was great, and none of us wanted to come home. What more can you say!
