A lovely, welcoming hotel. Spent the new year in Chamonix and had the good fortune to be at Les Lanchers. Excellent location right by the Flegere lift with great views.
Incredibly welcoming, attentive staff who all spoke perfect English. There was a relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel but standards are clearly high
Had tartiflette on several occasions whilst in Chamonix, but the restaurant at Les Lanchers served the best one by a considerable margin.
Les Praz itself is a very nice village about 15/20 minutes walk from the centre of Chamonix and five minutes on the very frequent bus service.

We recently stayed at Hotel Les Lanchers for 2 nights. We chose this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and because of its location close to the Flegere lift.

The Room:
We booked a Superior Room. Upon booking on the hotel's website, a friendly gentleman called the next morning to explain how to get into the hotel since we weren't arriving until after midnight. The process was simple and straightforward. The Superior Rooms have great wide bathtubs, which are perfect to soak in after a long day of skiing. There was also a lot of closet space, heated towel racks, and a comfortable bed. There wasn't really any complimentary toiletries (aside from shampoo), so bring your own. The towels were large and plush. The free internet worked well.

The location:
The hotel is located about 400 metres from the Flegere cable car which takes you up to the the top of the mountain for skiing. We rented our skis from Echobase, which was just next door to the hotel. They offer 15% off for hotel guests.

Restaurant:
We were lazy and decided to stay in to eat. We were not disappointed and the lamb shank and french onion soup were excellent. The breakfast (which cost EUR 9 per person) was okay but not amazing. It was suitable for a meal before skiing.

Overall, we were very happy that we picked this hotel. If you are looking for a hotel close to the slopes, this is your answer.

Room Tip: The Superior Rooms have large bathtubs for soaking. The area is generally quiet so you shouldn'...

With the Ski-bus stop immediately outside and only a short walk from the Flegere lift this is an excellent location offering quick access to the slopes. Only a 20 min walk from central Chamonix. Very good facilities and access to ski and boot room is super easy and your boots will be positively toastie by morning. I couldn't give a better recommendation than to say we still keep coming back here - it is the friendly and helpful staff, excellent value and ease of location that does it. Will be back again soon no doubt.

Room Tip: Go for a room with a bath for that long soak after a good ski

If you love your skiing and food this is the Hotel for you.
The hotel is in Le Praz , walking distance to the Le Flegere chairlift or you can jump on the ski bus to the other areas right outside the front door. We have been 5 times and will keep going back for the great location , fabulous food , wonderful views from the bedrooms and the friendly welcome .
Jon and Celine and all their staff look after you from the moment you arrive, its an ideal spot for a ski break without the hassle of being in the centre of Chamonix.

Room Tip: The new rooms are more modern and some have baths , ideal after a days skiing .

The hotel is near Chamonix, it could be a walking distance from Chamonix (about 15 min). The facilities are nice, the rooms are rather small but comfy and if you book a room towards Mont Blanc, you will have an excellent view. The staff provides good tips and the restaurant on-site has excellent food. We stayed there in July but I saw that there are lots of facilities and storage room for skis, etc. for the winter season. The bathroom was the only disappointment as it was extremely small.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Mont Blanc are better.

After a long walk, mountain bike ride or a round of golf it was a pleasure to return to friendly people, good food and a comfortable bedroom with an amazing view of 4000 metre high peaks. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

from the first email to book to when we left, these guys and girls were just superb. we cycled in the rain the whole first day, to turn up and find that the staff had sorted a drying room for us, a place for our bicycles and a beer waiting was awesome. the food at the table was excellent, the ambience brilliant, and the breakfast excellent, rooms were clean, roomy and had everything.......sounds like i own the place, ......i don't but i work in the marine industry where customer service is paramount which means i can recognise it when i see it. These guys are top people and if you are considering a chamonix visit then i can whole heartedly recommend them.

Room Tip: its all great, we had 16 of us stay all over the building each were great, but just look at the moun...
