Debbie and Alister made us feel very welcome throughout the course of our stay, they were friendly, helpful and the service they provided was excellent. We stayed in a second floor room which was clean, spacious and we had a very a comfortable bed. The the view, from our bedroom of Mont Blanc was spectacular.
The village of Chamonix is a short pleasant walk from the Chalet and had every amenity that we required.
We are not skiers but we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the slopes using the chair lifts.
We loved the hot-tub in the front garden with the magnificent view of the slopes of Mont Blanc.
All in all our stay was a most enjoyable experience.

The chalet is well appointed with comfortable beds and good en-suite bathrooms. The food was excellent with better than average wine served and the evening nicely rounded off with liqueurs served with coffee in the lounge. Relaxing in the hot tub looking up at the Aguille de Midi as the sun went down with a beer was a perfect end to a hard day's skiing. The various ski areas of Chamonix can be daunting to the non-familiar, but Al's advice as to where conditions will be best for different skier levels and his policy of taking all to the slopes in the mini-bus and picking everyone up - even at different times, makes the process seamless. Al will then ski with you and show you around the slopes of the day - outstanding! We had a large group of adults and teenage children and all had a great week. I would go again tomorrow!

We have just returned from a fabulous week at Chalet Blanche. As other reviews say, nothing is too much trouble for Al & Debbie which means your holiday is totally stress free. Debbie was extremely helpful before our holiday, booking our lessons and transfers as well as answering various questions about chamonix. Once there you are dropped off and picked up from whichever area you want to ski that day (at times that suit you, within reason) which is a huge bonus in chamonix. Merique and Tim were great hosts for the week and provided fabulous 3 course meals - by far and away the best chalet food I have experienced.
I would not hesitate in recommending chalet blanche - we will definitely be returning for years to come - there is no better place in chamonix.
Thank you for a really perfect week.

This was our second trip to Chalet Blanche. We first chose it for our family ski break in February. We had been really impressed with all aspects of our ski trip and therefore decided to try a Summer activity holiday. Again it surpassed our expectations and we would highly recommend both seasons for a trip here.

Chamonix is a great ski resort and the fabulous service offered by the owners Alistair and Debbie ensured we enjoyed it to its fullest. Each day we were personally chauffered to the best ski area for the conditions (a different one every day). Most days Alistair showed us the runs and our 2 teenage sons really gained confidence. Our hosts even organised a trip through the tunnel to Courmayeur where we had a lovely day and a long Italian lunch in a super tiny chalet high up on the slopes which we would never have found on our own.

My Mum came with us and due to an imminent knee operation couldn't ski. Despite this she also enjoyed it immensely mainly due to our hosts recommending non ski activities and providing assistance to organise these.

The Chalet was really cosy and comfortable and spotlesly clean. We had excellent food and we enjoyed the company of the other Chalet guests .

Our Summer trip was also excellent. Debbie pre booked a load of activities for us so we tried mountain biking, climbing, white water rafting, airboats and canyoning. We loved it and our 2 teenage sons were thrilled, literally.

We all felt it was the best skiing holiday we had ever had and one of the best Summer holidays too.

My wife and I have stayed at Chalet Blanche on several occasions and at least once every year, both in summer and winter, since Debbie & Al Johnston opened in 2002. We have taken most members of our family there and also some of our friends. They have all agreed that this venue and the hospitality that is obviously the standard is as near to perfection that one is likely to find in a modestly sized chalet hotel.
The commitment of the proprietors towards the enjoyment of their guests,is quite unbelievable.
We will cetainly continue to visit Chalet Blanche for as long as we are able. We have, in fact, already booke our second stay for this year!

My second year at Chalet Blanche with Al and Debbie. Went with friends this year and last year, and unlikely ever to switch to another chalet when visiting Chamonix. The mix of comfort, space, excellent food, packed lunches, local knowledge, and a great atmosphere make this an unbeatable chalet for a few days in Cham. Al & Debs seem to have a knack for picking the perfect chalet help as well - Merique and Tim went out of their way to make sure that everyone was well fed and watered, and generally looked after to the highest standards.

Al makes sure that wherever you want to ski each day (La Tour, Grand Montet, Les Houches, Brevent...) he takes you and drops you of pesonally, then will come to collect you at the end of the day even if you have switched areas during the day. It is literally true that almost nothing is too much trouble for these guys. When we realised that our taxi to the airport on our last day left before the Ski hire shop opened in the afternoon, Al simply offered to take all our skis back to the shop for us, no trouble at all. And all done with a great sense of humour and a smile.

The location is very peaceful, slightly out of town next to the hospital, but don't let this put you off. The Jekyll Bar (one of the best in Cham anyway) is a 6-minute walk from the Chalet, with the centre of Cham only another 10 mins walk beyond that. benefit of the location is that you get the most magnificent views of Mont Blanc, Aguille de Midi, and the rest.

Al and Debbie have managed to pull off the perfect combination of comfort, value, brilliant food, and a great atmosphere all at once. These guys were cut out to run a ski chalet and I can't recommend it highly enough.

I've stayed at Chalet Blanche each ski season for the last seven years now and have never been disappointed. The Chalet is run by Al and Debs who are the perfect hosts. Their local knowledge is endless and they will facilitate any request ( within reason ! ). Ski equipment hire, lift passes, ski guides are all organised for you with zero fuss. The chalet is spotless and very comfortable with quality furniture that doesn't 'throw' you onto the floor after 5 minutes of sitting. The breakfast is extensive and the evening three course meal with wine is always top quality. Any allergies are always taken care of by the helpful chef / staff.
The chalet has two minibuses which whisk you off to the bottom of the lift stations and pick you up at the end of the day ( from the nearest watering hole ) which is priceless.
Get the first flight out of Heathrow and you can be on the slopes by 12.30 pm.
