When we tried to come for dinner, the reservations were fully booked, which made us expect something good.
And yes, it was fantastic. Some people say that it's the standard French food, but that was why we liked it more. We especially liked the meat and the pepper sauce on it.
Also, it has a cozy atmosphere. It's a great place to go after climbing the 3,000 metre Mont Blanc.
I would like to recommend to someone who would like to taste France. I would like to come back again and have dinner.

The food at Le Panier is outstanding in every way - fresh, top-quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. The server provided spot-on recommendations for champagne and wine to accompany our meal. The menu has a nice mix of classics and innovative dishes. I highly recommend the Ravioles de Chèvre Frais, Fondue de Poireaux, Beurre Léger au Parmesan. My partner had the Filet de Bœuf Simmenthal en Croûte de Poivre, Jus à la Moutarde Violette, Gratin Dauphinois au Lard. I have never had such an excellent steak! The quality and the preparation were spectacular. We were there for a birthday celebration. The atmosphere is perfect for a special evening such as this or for a romantic dinner for two.

When we entered , we noticed , in their window, the sign 'FULLY BOOKED' so we felt even better.
When we left a few hours later the restaurant has been FULL.
Although the Menu is not very diversified and one finds rather standard dishes, the meals we got were very tasty ! We choose Tartare de Somone, Chevre Ravioli, T-Bone steak and the 'Plat du Jour' which was still beef .
The wine list was decent enough ; we had a very good 'rouge' : Lacoste Borie [Pauillac], 2007 which paired nicely with the food. Unfortunately the waiter did not know [or care] that it should be aired...
The service has been slow ; as the evening was progressing and place become crowded the two girls were overwhelmed

This was one of the best restaurants we found in Chamonix- it was so good, we went back a second night. The only drawback was that the service was very slow on Christmas Day, but the restaurant seemed a tad understaffed that night. Excellent fish, and the chef was very considerate of the allergies of someone in our party once we mentioned it to the waitress. Highly recommend for a special night.

This has got to be one of the best restaurants my husband and I have been to for a while. The whole experience was terrific. The staff could not be more helpful. The food was just perfect. My husband and I were lucky enough to get a table there on Christmas Eve. The place was very busy but the service was just exceptional. The food prepared by the chef was just amazing. We had such a wonderful evening so much so that we are planning our next trip to Chamonix and will definitely include a visit to this restaurant again
