“Dog friendly restaurant with lots of choices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2012 via mobile

We left three restaurants prior to eating here because no one would wait on us. When we came to La Peole they waited on us immediately. I had the onion soup and goat cheese salad; my boyfriend had the raclette omelet. We shared a chestnut crepe for dessert-all excellent. The coke is priced high; get beer or wine instead .

“That's not tartiflette”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2012

My partner works in Chamonix every year for a few weeks and is not a tourist. But I guess they saw us as tourists when we ordered a tartiflette. A tartiflette is a Savoyard dish with onions, potatoes, bacon, cream and cheese.
There should be lots of cheese. But when my partner got his tartiflette, it looked more like the leftover from yesterday. Not so much cheese, and the cheese that WAS in the dish, wasn't melted properly.
After complaining about it, the waiter said nothing and didn't come up with a solution.
Weird place, and we were happy to leave as quick as possible.

“Quick”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 14, 2012

The omelettes had looked good when passing and so when we needed a quick light lunch before leaving (and before other restaurants had opened for lunchtime servings) this got the vote. It was certainly quick. Edible but nothing to write home about. Salad came drowned in dressing and the fries were the very thin oven chip type. The omelette from the restaurant next door earlier that week had been far better. This restaurant always seemed very busy so must suit some but not for me.

Lots of choices, good food, family style. A bit crowded maybe during peak meal times.
