nice staff, good basic italian food (pasta, pizza, ..) a bit noisy if there's a crowd upstairs.

This is a lovely Italian restaurant in a relaxed atmosphere. The food was great and reasonably priced. Creme brulle was amazing. The first day we tried to go here it was very busy and so full up, so make sure you book if you want to guarantee a table. I would definitely go back over and over again.

It's a little out of the way and tucked into a corner but it is worth it.
There is an upstairs eating area which has lower ceilings than downstairs but might be a little quieter.
Service is quick and friendly and the prices are pretty good too. For pizza quality and choice I still prefer Pizza Paradiso.
When we asked to share a Tiramisu (between 8) they brought us a large slice with 8 spoons without even blinking an eye.

Great simple pastas and pizzas at an excellent place.

You have to look for this restaurant, since it's a little off the main street, and tucked in behind a hotel, but it's worth the effort.

The hostess behind the bar switched easily between flawless English, Italian and French (what more could you expect from a French Canadian?), and greets all the visitors as if they were friends.

The menu is simple, but has something to offer for everyone. The house wine is worth a try too.

This was one of our cheapest meals in Chamonix, but one of our favourites!

We ate here twice last week, and loved the food. We were traveling between Italy and France, and I ate many pizza's on my vacation. We had several hit and misses on pizza in Chamonix. I would rate both Neapolis and Cafe Valerio as the best in the city. If I was only going for pizza, I would probably go to Neapolis first.
