A yearly trip to Chamonix means a trip to the Bartavel famous for its wide choice of pizzas, salads, meats and fish. our group of five settled on pizzas and there were all good and crispy. the pizzas are large and generously filled. I tried a Savoie omelette (with potatoes an lardons). Although the portion was large, the omelette was dry inside and out as if it had been re-heated. It completely lacked of taste too.In France, an omelette should be creamy and soft inside and crispy on the outside. It was not the case. It was served with a very small salad with hardly any vinaigrette. Chunky chips had to be ordered separately and came dry and overcooked. I hope this was just a one off and I will try again next year during our visit to Chamonix. Service was good and efficient and waiters speak English. Prices are very competitive and this cafe remains one of the best value place to eat in Chamonix.
