Description: La Petite Kitchen is a new Modern-European style restaurant in the heart of Chamonix. You'll find a warm welcome, good prices, and excellent food.We offer bistro-style food during the day in a fun and chilled café environment. In the evening the space changes into a cosy and relaxed dining room, with great wines from all over Europe and South America which accompany a select, freshly prepared and inventive menu. You won't find better value for money in Chamonix!

This place looks unassuming, but don't be fooled. The food is absolutely brilliant with good size servings. The service was just right - not too pushy and there when you need them. Very reasonably priced as well. So good we went 2 nights in a row

We chose to eat at La Petite Kitchen during our two-week stay in Chamonix after sampling the fare at a number of other local restaurants. I wish we had discovered it sooner! The food was fresh, creative (especially for the region) and beautifully presented and the service was excellent. I would especially recommend the desserts (loved the white chocolate mousse - light and nicely accented with fresh berry compote). My only criticism has to do with the children's plate. My eight-year-olds ordered the sausage with French fries and beans. The meal came with a drink and ice cream for 15 euro. While it was a better deal than feeding them an adult-size portion of food they were unlikely to eat (and so we appreciated the option), the sausage tasted like breakfast sausage and the meal was, overall, rather bland and uninspired. Nevertheless, the kids enjoyed the experience -- and we would definitely return to this restaurant when in the area!

We arrived just after opening at 19h and were able to get an outdoor seat without reservation, very friendly staff. The restaurant quickly filled, and I guess would be quite normal as there are about 12 tables. The fish of the week was a wonderful Salmon, with cherry tomatoes and potatoes, with a light sauce. The roasted chicken was good, just a very slight bit dry, both otherwise wonderful. The starters were perfect, a simply raw salmon on warm toasted wholegrain bread, and a light salad. Very nice place, and very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back again.

What a lovely dinner we had tonight at Le Petite Kitchen. The food was fantastic - from the ameuse gueule through to the wonderful deserts. We had two small children with us (5 and 8) and they finished everything on their plates. The service was wonderful. What a lovely find! Would rank well in any major city - so nice to find it hidden away in Chamonix.

Having received a few recommendations to eat at La Petite Kitchen we were very surprised to find it almost empty and advertising a €20/25 2 or 3 course menu option when we arrived.

Maybe the lack of customers was because it was so late in the season or perhaps it was the slightly hard to find location. Either way, it certainly wasn't because of the food - some of the best we'd eaten in a while and incredible value for money. Even at full a la carte prices the standard of dishes was far higher than the relatively modest prices would suggest.

If you're looking for Michelin star type restaurant cuisine without the prices this place is well worth seeking out.
