Always a real treat. Great food in a lovely atmosphere with the added bonus of a view onto the Aiguille du Midi. A great night out

Went for lunch with my husband last week. we had the 2 course menu which looked like good value, and a bottle of wine. the pork terrine starter was rather tasteless, huge bits of meat and very little jelly. the cauliflower soup was far too thick and lacked seasoning .
Mains were a pork collar chop on a bed of lentils covered with a thickly sliced garlic sausage. a very heavy dish with no merit. The other main was tasteless, and over cooked trout fillet on mashed potato. We didn’t risk having desert.

This restaurant was recommended by a friend who has an apartment near Chamonix. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and the staff could not do enough to make the experience thoroughly enjoyable. The food was reasonably priced for the area and of a very high standard. They certainly don’t hold back on the superb cheeses on offer. Ignore the likes of Atmosphere who don’t appreciate their customers and give this place a try.

Five stars for everything. The overall ambience of the restaurant is perfect with its alpine chalet style, our table in the upstairs window with a great view of the lights in the trees outside after dark, wonderful friendly service and above all fantastic food and wine. As others have said the mushroom velouté is superb whilst our beef main courses were cooked to perfection and served with perfectly judged vegetables and all washed down with a very nice St Emilion. Expensive yes, but a wonderful and memorable evening.

Good restaurant in Chamonix. The food was very good but it is expensive for what it is. The mushroom soup was fantastic. If you want a quirky restaurant away from the main tourist attractions this is great, but be prepared to pay a little more.
