Was less convinced of the evening merits when exiting the central car park that brought us up into Stalingrad Square as this was a hanging out spot for a number of less than desirable looking younger people. But by day, the town is charming if you do not have to drive around and park in it

Annecy is really a very nice city. Situated at the bottom of the french Alps, its situation is exceptional. Start with a tour of the old town, there are many nice restaurants with lovely terraces right on the river, then discover the pedestrian shopping area and finish with a lovely boat ride on the lake. A perfect day in Annecy!

Nice for a stroll along the canal and among the old streets.

Most restaurants are made for tourists, so pick carefully if you want decent food at reasonable prices.

Lovely old town to wander around. Lots of historic buildings and some decent retail therapy too, plus all the usual bars and restaurants.

Charming old town, one of my favorite place to explore in France. The pedestrian streets are full of cafes, restaurant and ice cream bar. Very lively and enjoyable walk we had.
