Is it full of tourists: yes.
Is it still amazing: YES!!
It doesn't get old, walking around this time warp of a city. Expensive but amazing

It can get crowded but there are plenty of restaurants and shops. The morning market with meats, cheeses and fruits is great.

Annecy has it all. Beautiful medieval buildings, modern amenities and so much to do. I had a wonderful 4 days in the town and it’s surrounds. We did a boat trip around the lake, tasted cheese, bread, salami’s at the amazing fresh food market on the Sunday and walked the beautiful streets. A place to visit.

Beautiful medieval town that's bustling with shops, restaurants and ice cream sellers. Beautiful walks in the parks next to the lake and boat trips depart a short walk from main town car park to take you all over the lake. Absolutely adore this area. Peaceful and picture perfect around every corner. Stunning.

Annecy itself is a true gem, you’ve got it all: beautiful old houses, churches, castle, very good restaurants and shopping, the lake and the mountains!
The old town itself worth a tour, spend at least half a day to allow time to explore and discover the beautiful features next to the canal.
Of course it’s very popular so, if you can, avoid the School holidays peak season.
