We spend a wonderfull holidays 1 week with our kids. Very nice place close to the lake, walking distance to down town. The new owner gave us lot nice place to see, restaurant, activities for kids etc... I'll be back very soon for sure.

We spend a week at this hotel while enjoying the beautiful lake of Annecy. The hotel has a great llocations, some 1200 meters south of the city, after a steep descend, you cross a busy street and have e nice grass/beach area for a swim. The walk tot the city is nice, admire the views in all directions.
Hotel is clean, rooms ok, and breakfast reasonable. We didn't find alternatives for breakfast close by. Getting there the last stretch is steep, you can get there with your car and a parking place is available.
The free wifi is a good service. Staff was reserved, but helpful when we asked them.

Room Tip: Choose a room with Lake view, 2 have (very small) balconies

We booked two rooms at this hotel one for ourselves and one for two friends. When we arrived Caroline the receptionist said that they could not honour the room price for the first room booked because my husband did not provide his card details.
We booked through Booking . com and had the details printed out. Caroline wouldnt even look at them and increased the price by 40 euros.
I rang booking.com who tried to sort it out but said that Caroline was un cooperative to say the least. They also said that the hotel had pre authorised my husbands card so Caroline was lying.
This is still being dealt with by Booking. com
Very frustrating part of our holiday.

I arrived after a delayed flight at 11.30pm. It took 10 minutes to get a response (by phoning after lack of reply to the doorbell.
The security guard did not / could not give me a key although his register showed the room was available and booked in my name. I was not allowed in during the polite conversation using my best respectful French. Apparently I should have phoned to say I was delayed - I'm not convinced this would make any difference.
How to rate a 3 star hotel that denies access to a guest?
A call the following day was unproductive in the extreme and it was clear the hotel blamed me. There was no evidence of any 21st or 20th century customer service. It was the closest experience in many years travelling to meeting Basil Fawlty!
On arrival at home I saw I had been charged the full rate.
Tant pis indeed!

Room Tip: Cannot comment - It looked nice!

The hotel is in a rather good location, about 15-20 minute walk from the old town. The rooms are typically small like most French hotels and outfitted modestly. The insulation is not so great and we could hear our neighbour sneezing and snoring through the night. But there is free Wi-Fi which is handy when you are travelling.

Be aware that this hotel closes at 10.00pm! We subsequently saw in their confirmation email that they had a closing time, but this was no help when we had arrived at 11.30pm to find that, although they answered the phone, they refused to turn up to give us our key! So after a long drive to Annecy, we had to find another hotel to stay at for the night (thank you, Mercure!).

The next day, we tried to negotiate an extra night for free or for a discounted price. The staff were very non-cooperative and unprofessional and, quite frankly, didn't really care about our situation, despite the fact that we had paid for 3 nights. I've never met anyone so unsympathetic.

If you are looking for good customer service, do not stay at this place.

Nice hotel, but slightly out of the town centre. Near the lake, but still a 5 minute walk to tke lake and also up a steep hill to reach the hotel. Rooms a little small, but overall good enough

We had a hire car, so the free parking was a bonus. We paid the bit extra for the room with balcony and lake-view and it is definitely worth it. Bathroom was modern and well appointed and there was a fridge plus tea and coffee making facilities. Bed was fine and free wifi worked in room (which was fairly small, but adequate, especially with the view from the french windows).
We walked into the Old Town a couple of times (about 20 minutes) and also caught the bus which stops straight down in front of the Hotel. Hotel staff were efficient, although we did not find them particularly friendly. Breakfast was adequate and in general, we thought it was good value for money.
