We went to Annecy for the day from Lutry and Pully, in Switzerland, where we were staying with family. We drove all around the lake and up into the mountains surrounding the lake. We had lunch in a little cafe around the lake but we cannot remember the name. We sat outside with the lake just across the road. They were very hospitable. We went into the Old Town which was really interesting with lovely old buildings and lots of interesting shops. We had drinks in the square in the sunshine and pottered about. There were lots of places we could have visited and this is not very helpful, except to say it was a lovely place to visit but I do not manage walking in the hot sunshine. We would have liked to have visit the main part of the town too but it was far too hot. However, well worth a visit and it looked as if it was very interesting. A member of my family has moved over there, so hopefully will get to visit again soon. I think most people would enjoy visiting Annecy at any time of the year.
