It's true that rooms are weird and bathrooms weirder. You bump your head if you stand up in the tub, so you have to sit in it, which is very unpleasant if you just want a shower. But as previously commented by someone, this is common in old buildings that are remade into "modern" hotels with en suite bathrooms. But you come here for the charm of the old building, the beauty of the setting, the lovely grounds, the stunning view and try to forget about the cramped rooms. Room amenities are aplenty except for the ridiculous 2 pieces of paper tissue in a package, which in 5 days they replaced only once!!! How much could a box of tissues cost them??? But you feel you are in a country home for a weekend and you don't complain about little details. But I have to agree that you don't stay there if you don't have a car. It's a long way from town on a road that has no walking path or sidewalk. I can't imagine walking back from town after dinner in the dark on that deserted road. And they have plentiful free parking, a rarity in France. And I do have an issue with any breakfast costing 25 Euros!!

Room Tip: Avoid third floor rooms as the minuscule lift only goes to second floor and the stairs to the third...

On arrival we were very disappointed with the room. Although clean and tidy, it was very small and faced the rear car park. I have seen bigger cupboards! However, the position of the hotel was reasonable overlooking the lake but it was a good walk from the town of Annecy (20 min to the centre) So if you re elderly or disabled you would probably find the walk too much and would need a car. The hotel staff were friendly and the swimming pool nicely positioned. It's a fairly expensive hotel for what you get and we prefered to eat in town for breakfast and dinner where the value was much better. We never had any main meals in the hotel because we thought it poor value after talking to other guests. The old town of Annecy itself is beautiful and the new town is also close by. It's worth going for a cruise on the lake if you can and if you have a car a days driving in the mountains is also worthwhile where the scenery is breathtaking.

Room Tip: Don't book a room near the top flor facing the car park if you have a choice (we didn't}If p...

I fell in love from the car park...the view was not only breathtaking but majestic. We were welcomed with a smile and given a lake side view on the ground floor for our 2 night getaway. I generally try to avoid ground floor rooms but once in...my apprehensions melted away . The room was spacious with a to die for bathroom with a walk in shower large enough for 10 people...thankfully we were only 2 and made the most of that glorious shower and it's view . One bizarre little niggling point...there was no Kleenex to be seen anywhere!!! Curious I delved around and found what I thought was a packaged shower cap only to discover to both my glee and disappointment that it was in fact two neatly folded tissues...!!! Thankfully there was plenty of toilet paper.
We did not use the spa facilities but had dinner at La Rotonde: the gastronomes delight. And delightful it was but with a tad too much use of edible flowers and gold leaf, but to each chef his own. Breakfast is a veritable feast for the eyes and the tummies...and our best meal of the day. There is an extraordinary amount of food and beverage choices layed out tastefully and decoratively...Bacchus delights .
Les Tresoms is a treasure with great views and facilities for foodies, spa fanatics and sports aficionados to keep you busy...if that is not enough..The old town of Annecy is a treat and a stones throw away, as is Switzerland!
Would we return? Most definitely .

Room Tip: If you want to relax and have your breath taken away...book a lakeside view room.

The hotel has wonderful views of the lake from the pool and gardens,it is up a steep hill from the old town, but so worth it for the view. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, rooms were superb, stayed in two different rooms as we returned on our way home, as we loved it so much.Breakfast is a little expensive at £22 each, but so much choice, and wonderful coffee.Pool area is beautiful and outside furniture is superb, from loungers to sofas.I will be back.

Room Tip: Rooms with lake view are worth the extra

We stayed here two nights and had a great time. We had a very nice room on the third floor and it had an outstanding view of the Lake Annecy. The service was very good and the people were very friendly. You do need a car to stay here. It is too far to walk and you do not want to miss Annecy. Would like to come back for another visit.

Hi stayed here with my wife (she was already here for 3 nights before me) for 2 nights. The rooms were quite small and I thought the bed was comfortable but my wife didn't think so.
The guestroom and bathroom are not that well laid out but this is a problem when old buildings have ensuite bathrooms put in them. Was surprised how quite it was considering the number of people arriving and leaving for functions at all hours.
Sure this is an older building but it could do with a bit of a makeover. It is a bit up the hill from the lake and a bit of a walk to the town (about 20 minutes walk). It does have bikes available and there is a good bike path around the lake. The only food I had here was breakfast one morning and there was quite a good selection but the service was a bit random. The place seems to be used for quite alot of functions, so not sure how important staying guests are to the place. No problem with speaking English and the place does have some charm about it and would be nice in the middle of summer with its swimming pool and relaxing area.
I would probably choose somewhere closer to the old town to stay next time, but as there was a film festival on and accomation was tight was this was an OK option.

Stayed here and would return again and again. Have read the other reviews and disagree with a lot of the negative stuff. The walk into town is not a nightmare however the hill is quite steep but manageable for anyone with a poor to normal level of fitness. Most staff spoke English well and were also happy to tolerate our rather ordinary French. Attitude of staff was excellent and they were extremely helpful. We had the 'degustation' menu in the restaurant and it was very good. Breakfast was also very good. Some prices are a bit on the high side for drinks etc but overall they are not excessive. Have bath only in rooms but handheld shower nozzle was fine after figuring it out. Amazing views across lake Annecy.
