We have just spent 8 nights half board here and really cannot fault it. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are good size with a comfortable bed. All areas of the hotel are clean and well kept. The garden at the back is a bonus, not many in Annecy seem to have outside seating.. especially if you like somewhere to relax in the sun after sight seeing.. The breakfast is the usual french style buffet plus eggs or toast if you wish....The evening meal (4 courses if you wish) is traditional savoie fare, and the menu is posted up late afternoon. There isn't really an option, but they were happy to do me an omelette one evening as I do not eat pork. The only thing that might put some off, is the hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the old quarter/lakeside..this is not a problem once you have your bearings..it also means the hotel is very quiet with no night time noise! Yet there is a shopping centre and Monoprix about 5 minutes walk away....Message me with any questions!

Room Tip: Room 10 gets the sun in the morning, but all rooms are quiet. there is very little traffic in this q...

Hotel Les Terrasses does exactly what it sets out to do which is provide excellent budget accommodation in the centre of Annecy - hence the 5* rating! There are no frills and reception is closed between 9pm-7am - hotel is accessed via a code. Rooms are above average size for a 2 * hotel, beds are comfortable , bed line a cotton mix - not polyester which is a bonus. There is tea/ coffee in the room and the bathrooms are very clean and functional with loads of hot water. Outside there is a garden which could be used for drinks/picnic in good weather. Staff are friendly and the off street parking is a bonus. Breakfasts are 9 euro pp extra and were good value for money. Wi fi is also available.
All in all highly recommended

Booked here for three nights on long European trip. Had never been to Annecy before but had travelled extensively in France for 40 years. This hotel exceeded all expectations that I had received from other reviewers. Exceptionally helpful and kind staff could not be better. The evening meal is a must after full days exploring. This hotel is within easy reach of the train station and downtown. What a gem. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. What separates this hotel from others is old time kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Very well done and we look forward to returning.

Room Tip: No need. Hotel is in a quiet neighborhood and noise is not an issue.

We had a lovely few days at Les Terrasses. At first, we were a little worried, because the taxi dropped us off on the railway station side of the hotel, and we thought it was the small building we saw first - it isn't! You go around that house, and the actual hotel is around the back.
The locality isn't perhaps the most scenic, BUT it's quiet, only a few minutes to the old quarter of the town (not to be confused with Annecy Vieux, which is the commercial district!). Also, there is a very pretty garden overlooked by the dining/breakfast room. We were there when the trees were in full blossom - beautiful.
Inside the hotel, it's clean and well maintained, and the staff are all very pleasant and helpful. Above all - the beds are the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in!! And there are shutters at the windows, so you can close them completely to keep out the light, or have them slightly vented to let the cooler air in.
The breakfast is perfectly alright; a good choice of cereals, breads/croissants, yoghurts, fruit - and there are raw eggs which they will cook to your liking.
We only had dinner there once; it was delicious, but it should be noted that there is no choice, just the plat du jour. The menu didn't seem to be available until late in the afternoon, so you might be taking pot luck. Also, dinner is served at a set time, 19.30.
If you're going by car, there is a private car park at the hotel, but it's also convenient for the train - just across the road, in fact. That doesn't mean that you get any train noise, though; the station has just been completely renovated and is a massive building.
It's worth having a look at the street map that's kept in a folder in reception; Annecy is much bigger than we expected, and it's fairly easy to lose your bearings. The tourist office just by the lake is very helpful, and you can get street maps there.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong really. The hotel is very solidly built, and we didn't get any noise fro...

Decided to book the half board they offer, room breakfast and dinner with aprox 47 euros per night per person. Was better than expected. Nice tidy room. Dinner was excelent , 4 courses(salad or soup, main, cheese selection, desert) and breakfast was good enough. The staff really polite and friendly. The location was good, although we couldnt easily find it by car without gps when we arrived, because we had to make a smal circle in the town by car. Walking from the hotel to the lake was easy. It is a nice short walk threw a shoping area. We had a really nice relaxing time thanks to the hotel. The owners dog is cute, spends its time sleeping in the elevator(hehe). Only thing missing was a smal fridge from the room but they offered a cuttle and free tea.

There is plenty of free parking for visitors and as the hotel is situated in the middle of Annecy it is a big plus point. As we drove in from the road we saw a small area for parking in front but round quite a tight drive there is also a larger parking area in front of the attractive garden. The gates are locked at 8 p.m. so a security code is required not only for arriving by car but also if one wants to leave the hotel after 9 p.m.

The hotel is a tranquil oasis in the centre of Annecy. I had booked a twin and double room by e-mail which the hotel had confirmed, the twin room being for our son and daughter. The sign on the door had said 'complet' as we walked in so I was a bit concerned when we found that we had keys for two double rooms. Fortunately we had arrived quite early so the friendly receptionist changed one of the double rooms for a twin room. The hotel and rooms are beautiful, light, spacious, clean and modern. We asked if we could have some tea in our room, which was brought up; the cost was 12 euros for 4 people.

Our room was well lit with plenty of lights but strangely one of the lights above a comfortable bed/ settee was missing a bulb; presumably it was too late for anyone to deal with it as we got no response to our request so we rectified the matter by taking a bulb out from another fitting.

The breakfast room was lovely. The buffet breakfast for 9 euros is very good and plentiful with freshly made coffee. I would highly recommend this excellent hotel.

This hotel is quite small and very French. Our room was very nice and we found the staff friendly. The breakfast room was decked out with lots of different choices, which were delicious. It was very clean and not expensive.
