“Beautiful on a clear day - get all-day bus pass in harbor”

The view is amazing from the top, where there is a cafe or those who like to linger and enjoy a drink. Lots of area to stroll. BUT lots of steps/hills. Best $ deal is to get a 6 Euro all-day bus pass which includes the Telepherique. Tickets available in the harbor at the ticket building/shack for the ferries, but they have no bus maps. You can get a map at the tourist office one block "inland" off of Ave de la Republique. Bus 4 goes to Telepherique. We also took 2 buses to the east of town to see the sights/beaches. With a map, it's easy to navigate the area.

If you want the best deal to visit Mont Faron, you need to buy the 6€ tourist ticket which is only available from the TPM Information booth on the Quai where the boats dock and not from the Office du Tourisme. This ticket allows cable car, boat trips and buses all day for just 6€. Bus 40 going west on Avenue de la Republique takes you to the start of the cable car but is not very frequent and takes about half an hour. It also allows you to see Toulon.
The cable car ride is quite scary but allows wonderful views of the city and port. Also lots of walks on Mont Faron if you have time.

The Title says it all.

Easy to get to by the number 4 bus.

The views are breathtaking and the park area is very enjoyable.

The cable car runs eery ten minutes so there is not much waiting and the return trip costs fourteen euros for two, so it is very reasonable. There is also a family rate.

Well worth doing if you are in Toulon .

After arriving in Toulon we decided to ask at the Tourist Information about the special deal they have for tourists where you can purchase a ticket for the local buses, cable car and water taxi, for 6 euro, only to be told not on a Sunday so we bought the ticket for the cable car for 6 euro then had to pay on the bus, which takes about 15 mins.
When you get to the top you have fantastic views and even the waiters came out of the small restaurant to take some photos with your camera.
There is an animal zoo there but we were not fussed as you had to pay 20 Euros entrance.
We spoke to some other visitors while up there and they told us they only paid 6 Euros at a tobacconist for bus/cable/water taxi.
Keep a check on the bus times as you can wait up to an hour or more on Sundays.
All in all its worth the view.

No wheelchair access. Loads of steps at the bottom station. About 8 or 9 at the top station. You can drive up Mont Faron - it takes longer and is quite scary but fun!
