Great value & amazing views over Toulon from the top. I went at the end of the tourist season which is probably the best time to go if the weather's still ok; I can imagine it gets crowded & there's a queue when it's busier. At the top of the cable car there is a cafe in which to savour the panorama with a crepe, and also a WW2 memorial & museum which costs a few euros to enter but is bigger than you expect and quite interesting. Plus the best views are from the terrace on top of the museum so worth the small payment. Also at the top but a 15-20min walk away is a zoo, which I didn't go to. Final note; check the opening times if you're going at the end of the season as they begin to close down - I went on the second last day it was open until the following year purely by chance!
