We stayed with William two years ago and swore we would return. In fact, if I could find a way to come here a week in every season and always bring new people to it, I would. St. Remy de Provence is beautiful, and very centrally located in the region to see at least 2 to three weeks' worth of activities without cramming too much in. It's the perfect place to embrace the pace of life in Provence, which is calm, peaceful, the opposite of stress. We feel relaxed just thinking about it.
William had a vision over 10 years ago (and congratulations on 10 years in business) to take some medieval "falling down rubble" and refashion it to a compound with individual houses that are each private and cozy. Nothing sterile - everything you need, beautifully decorated. Our group consisted of 3 couples, and we rented La Bastide. Two couples were in the "main" part of the building, and one was in an attached unit, accessed by a different door from the outside. That unit had its own kitchenette, laundry, and salon, in addition to en suite bathroom and bedroom, and could be rented by itself. The main house was on two levels (the upstairs bedroom and loft area and laundry accessed by a slightly tricky staircase requiring me at 5'2" to duck coming down), the lower level comprised a salon, kitchen, bedroom, and stepped next to a sunroom and formal dining area. Outside we had a deck upon which we ate every breakfast and a few dinners. Every room had its own air conditioning - and as an American, I really mean AIR CONDITIONING, not some poor fan blowing around warm air like we have had in multiple 4 and 5 star hotels in Europe. Every room had its own bathroom, except for the upstairs loft. The loft had two daybeds, perfect for youngsters.
The pool area was our heaven. We were there when the jasmine lining the gorgeous grounds was in full bloom. The pool is saltwater, and William has a solar heater for the cooler seasons. There is also a hot tub. The area is large, with some grass, in addition to a bathroom and outdoor bar area with fridge and sink, and you can barbecue or snuggle up to a roaring outdoor fire in the other seasons. We made sure to have tour time then POOL TIME to relax most every day.
I have saved the best for last. William makes this place what it is. He is passionate about sharing the area with his guests. He has carefully and I suspect gleefully established relationships literally all over Provence and has arranged deals like free aperitif or dessert. He made reservations for us at restaurants throughout the area, to include at Cassis on the Med, where his reputation earned us saved chairs on their private beach. He has a French cell phone which calls him directly that he gives to his guests - we had to call to delay our reservations one time as we got lost on the way. He shared books and maps and his picture books showing the development of the rubble to the beautiful place we were sitting in - and this year he shared special activities. He arranged a COOKING CLASS with Maria, a local chef who met us at the weekly market, helped us shop for our food for the meal according to people's preferences or sensitivities, and then back at the compound, at a special "group" kitchen, she directed us in the prep of our amazing lunch.n In French. Only two of us spoke French (so we cheated) - half the fun is her dynamic enthusiastic charades game of showing and tasting. If you are offered this activity DO NOT HESITATE TO DO IT. It's so much fun.
Thank you William.
We will come back with reinforcements!

The Provence Paradise hamlet in Saint Remy de Provence is truly paradise! I have traveled quite a bit and I can honestly say that this experience ranks in my top 3 vacations of all time due to this charming rental property, coupled with the hospitality and generous spirit of William the property manager and his staff member Rania.

My husband and I just returned from a one week stay at Provence Paradise and it felt like home for that week. We used Saint Remy as our base for sightseeing through Provence. We rented the La Tuilerie house which has 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. We stayed with 3 other couples and I can attest we ALL had an incredible time. The house was warm, quaint and in a traditional Provencal style (LOTS of antiques fill the house), but still had modern amenities. The landscaping is wonderfully maintained and beautiful. The outdoor temperature every day was in the 90s in late June, but the inside of the house was always kept cool with the air conditioner, which we always kept on. The cool tile floors felt wonderful on our feet. A HUGE bonus was that each bedroom had their own temperature zone so the guests could control the air conditioner and temperature. At night we had family style dinners at the large dining room table and the kitchen had all of the amenities we needed for housewares to prepare our meals. We even lit the candles every evening at the table. The nice modern refrigerator is a regular sized fridge we stocked with food we purchased from local outdoor markets or the large InterMarche supermarket within a 3 minute drive from the house. The dishwasher also I was not expecting and it was a pleasant surprise. We had movie nights with our friends a few times and we watched them on the one large high quality flat screen TV in the living room. Even though we had 8 people in the house, there was plenty of space for folks to spread out in to other areas and relax inside and oustide. The pool we used every single day after a long day of sightseeing and it is literally just a few steps from the house. Plenty of bath towels and pool towels for all guests in the house. Robes also included! Free wifi at the house was decent (it's not high speed but it gets the job done). Parking was gated which was nice with code-entry only and we parked our two rental cars easily within steps of our house.

I 100% agree with other reviewers that William’s hospitality and assistance to help his guests is what makes this a 10+ star experience! First, how many rental properties give you a basic cell phone to use while you are in Provence so you can contact William or his staff or use as you need to while in France?! We loved the daily morning pastry deliveries and the quick visits from William to check in on us to see how things were going. Every day we had simple questions from him and he was always willing to help. He assisted with restaurant reservations, tips for sightseeing and a location right at Provence Paradise for our private cooking class with Catherine Burtonboy (who is absolutely amazing by the way). One thing that I thought went above and beyond is that William loaned his car briefly to our friends for a few hours when they were in a bind one day! This was an incredibly nice gesture and completely unnecessary.

As stated in other reviews, we did have a welcome dinner prepared and waiting for us in the refrigerator which was a lovely touch and a few vases of fresh cut flowers. We had beer and wine ready also and William poured us a glass as soon as we walked in the door. We had a mini 20-30 minute orientation our first morning where William took us through a suggested itinerary and told us a bit of history about the property. Rania his staff member we would engage with to request basics for the house when we ran out. For example, we ran out of saran wrap and ziploc baggies and laundry detergent and she promptly dropped off the items that we ran out of. Her primary language is French but we easily managed to get what we needed. You really don’t want for anything while you are at Provence Paradise!! This property in Saint Remy is an absolute gem and the people who run it are spectacular for providing best-in-class customer service to ensure their guests truly feel like they are in paradise. Thank you to Provence Paradise!!!

I traveled to Provence Paradise with my pregnant wife and my 3 year old infant son. We stayed in L'Orangerie for a full week. We were absolutely charmed by the beauty of the property, and the very high level of service and comfort afforded to us. We found the home to be the perfect base from which to explore the whole of Provence. William is one of the most warm and caring innkeepers that I have ever been with, and the high quality of his hotel is a testament to his hard work. He delivers warm, delicious croissants and chocolate filled biscuits to our door every morning. He babysat for our son while we went for dinner in the city- that he paid for. He was very accommodating and flexible with hotel policies when advised of our onward travel plans. He gave us an ambitious and challenging but exciting itinerary of fun activities to do during our stay - so be sure to rent a car to be able to fully explore the surrounding areas. The opportunity to stay here should not be passed up. You will be charmed by the property and charmed again by the owner/operator. The five stars that they earn from me are earned. We are already looking forward to going back next year - with our extended family in tow.

Great property with the most incredible and accommodating inn keeper you'll ever find!!! William is what makes Provence Paradise, paradise. He sits down with you when you check in, pours a glass of wine, and spends an hour helping you custom plan your time in Provence. He loves what he does and he loves people. We stayed in one of the less expensive rooms, but saw most of the accommodations, some of which can house extended families. I highly recommend the coking class he offers on Wednesdays. You meet the chef at the market, decide on the menu as a group and then shop for the ingredients and wine. After you help prepare the meal, a sumptuous feast is served to you at a beautiful table in one of the largest villas. C'est magnifique!
Although this property is not in the center of town, it's an easy walk. We're told that 70% of the guests are repeat customers, and when we were there it was 100%, all of whom referred to William, not as their inn keeper but their friend.
