4 of us traveled to Provence Paradise in April. We were greeted by the owner, William, along with a meal & dessert waiting. William is the BEST & most accommodating host- never steered us wrong with a restaurant suggestion or what to see that day-His knowledge of the area & history made it all the more memorable! He even went out of his way to find a special item for my Grandson & mailed my postcards! The Le Moulin had everything we could have wanted or even thought of needing. The fresh warm pastries every morning were a wonderful way to start the day and I sure missed that knock when I got home! I would definitely recommend Provence Paradise as your "home away from home" when visiting the Provence area.

Five friends from cincinnati had a fabulous time at Provence Paradise in March. We highly recommend going over during this time. You do trade off a bit of warm weather but you get to explore the area with no crowds of people. William could not have been a more charming host with fresh pastries brought each day. We took day trips around the area and then sat by the fire by night. The villa just oozes with charm and character. We are already thinking of going back.

We have travelled many places in the world and have to say that this was one of the most pleasurable. Williams hospitality was beyond compare. He arrived each morning with mouth watering pastries and then returned a short time later to aid us in planning our day and making any reservations that we might need. His knowledge of the history in the area greatly increased our enjoyment of the places we visited. He also found many things that we were looking for and brought them to us at the end of the day.(English cookbooks, soccer jersey's,ect,) He also returned each evening to inquire as to how our day went. Exceptional host! While the home was almost four hundred years old it was spotless and very comfortable. We will return if ever given the chance.

William, the owner, is the reason so many reviews of this place are glowing. William is charming, William is helpful, he is knowledgable about Provence and he is great at helping make reservations, etc. What he isn't very good at is keeping things up and clean at his houses. We stayed as a group and, to a person, we all agreed that we had expected more based on all of the reviews we had seen.
The setting is lovely and I love old houses. What it don't love are uncomfortable beds that probably have not been replaced for quite a while and mold growing in bathrooms. The cleaners just do not really clean as they should and I would wonder if William is aware of this. There are so many knick knacks around just gathering dust that they are really not clean.
You are asked to check out quite early in the day when you leave and we felt almost pushed out; no hanging about the patio - they want you gone! Not quite the way to say goodby to your guests that just paid a large amount of money to stay.
We did have a chef make dinner and it was quite well prepared but the left over carcass was unceremoniously dumped in the garbage in the house and, by morning, a great stench was overwhelming the kitchen and made the first person arriving in the kitchen in the morning nearly vomit. Wouldn't it make more sense to remove food like that from the house right after dinner?
We had a lovely time in St. Remy but I would think long and hard before returning here.

My wife and I stayed in the "Nest" room, the only one bedroom place at paradise while on vacation. This is an absolutely ideal location if you're looking for a base in southern france without being inside the city. You're a short 30min drive from the TGV and Avignon, and easily within an hour drive of numerous tourist locations. William is incredibly helpful and knowledgeably without being obtrusive, and the fresh pastries for breakfast are worth getting up for. When we arrived there was a small catastrophe, which the staff handled extremely professionally and fairly but we unfortunately had to start our stay a day late. It was well worth the wait.

St. Remy is a quaint little town, and known for it's very good food and open air markets. Make the time to visit as many as possible. You'll need a car to get around, but driving on the country roads is both easy and beautiful. Overall a wonderful stay and worth the cost. We will return as soon as vacation time permits.
