“William is the star of the property!”

Willliam met us and introduced us to our house. The kitchen was better equiped than ours at home. The location is pperfect...just walkable to St Remy and no traffic noise. The setting is understated but luxurious. The 'capper' is William delivering fresh, warm, croissants in the morning. Wow!

Room Tip: the two bedroom house + bunk bed room was great. IT is the RED one.

Reviews are right- William is the consummate host and the house was perfectly stocked and maintained. William was always offering to help us with plans and directions. St. Remy was wonderful for kids, which was a pleasant surprise. Use the maps at the house-you'll need them when driving (and you will want a car). Everyone we met on-site and throughout our travels in and around St. Remy was incredibly helpful- the French are wonderful!!!

La Bastide was perfect for our family of 5- 3 adults plus 3 young kids.

We hope to return someday, for a longer stay.

Room Tip: Twin beds downstairs are definitely sized for kids, not adults

Greetings from Alexandria, Virginia, USA !

We are sending our thanks and warmest wishes to all of you at PROVENCE PARADISE. Our family conversations continue to share favorite memories of your Provence Paradise and our very happy week there. In spite of croissant-withdrawal pangs, our East Coast families have recuperated from jet lag while our Alaskan children are waking at 4 am but then dozing off again with a smile.

Your hospitality and very kind support made our family group of grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents and children feel welcome and well-cared for. We had a super 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration with our family!

Upon arrival, our first impression was the beauty of the landscape. The surroundings revealed private dwellings attractively placed among winding paths, lush flowering greenery and cooling pleasant water runs. The friendly and gentle staff maintaining it and helping guests are made up of true artists and gardeners.

Looking to settle in, our second impression was comfort. The three dwellings we called home were professionally and attractively decorated. Each unit offered us variety and fresh and lovely Provencal colors and artwork. All our rentals were immaculate and well supplied throughout the week and your housekeeping staff cannot be praised enough.

Finally but really first in our memories we thank you personally for your warm attention, kind advice, gracious provisioning and encyclopedic knowledge of local events and activities. Every question or request was considered important and responded to. We don’t know how you turn each guest into a friend and extended family member, but you do. And we thank you for that Provencal genius.

If anyone would like to contact us directly, we would be happy to repeat our praise. We cannot provide a higher recommendation and our advice to new guests would be, from start to finish, to relax and enjoy every hour at Provence Paradise.

We’re looking forward to our next visit !

John and Joan Kohout

Based on all the excellent reviews in Trip Advisor we eagerly booked two weeks in June almost a year ahead. Our expectations were high and Provence Paradise and William exceeded them all. We stayed in L'Orangerie - charming cottage for two. It oozed provencal decor. Kitchen was well equiped. Bathroom spacious and shower was strong. A pretty private garden was great for al fresco dining or sunny afternoon reading. The "awesome" William met us on the road and directed us in. Dinner, chilled wine, and a memorable strawberry tart were waiting us in the frig. It was a home away from home right from the start. William was a super tour guide offerring suggestions, making reservations, providing insider tips and basically available when we needed him. We enjoyed his delivery of fresh croissants each morning. The rest of the compound grounds are lushly landscaped and the pool was a great place to cool off on a hot provencal afternoon. Location of the property is perfect for touring Provence but we also enjoyed days just staying "home" and relaxing. This place was perfect and we cannot wait to return.

I couldn't believe how so many reviews would all give a five star rating to one place - and now I know why. William is simply amazing as a host, nothing is too much trouble for him, and he strikes this wonderful balance between being available to give wonderful insider tips, and giving us space to explore and enjoy family time. The houses and grounds were absolutely lovely, and we were made to feel completely at home from the welcome dinner all the way to the send-off. St-Remy is also a great base from which to drive around for day trips as we did as there are so many sights and activities to suit all inclinations in the vicinity. We can't wait to be back!

Provence Paradise is a truly unique experience owing largely to its proprietor, Willaim Moore, who is not only the consummate host but whose knowledge and love of the area is invaluable. Whether he is directing you to the best market on the best day, advising on one of the many day trips accessible from this perfect location, or simply recommending a lovely spot to dine, he strikes the perfect balance of magically appearing when needed and seemingly invisible when not.

Our particular group was large - eleven adults of varying ages and notions of what to do each day. What I like most about Provence Paradise is that it has something for everyone. Whether you want to plan a full day trip to Cassis and the Calanques with a group; explore a local winery with your partner; or simply stroll alone into town and find a quiet café to read a book and watch the children ride the carousel, Paradise offers whatever you want, whatever the mood.

As mentioned again and again on these comments, the grounds are heavenly and the history and character of the structures lovingly preserved, each village and cottage so unique and cozy that it's really not so much a vacation as a visit with a beloved friend.

Thank you, William and family.

It has been a very long time since we were 100% impressed. First William and his staff were amazing. On our arrival everything was prepared, a wonderful meal had been waiting for us along with wine and everything you would need to enjoy your family and friends. The grounds were perfect, the same care William shows his guest is seen in the flowers and trees throughout the property., We will return one day, however it will be for much longer then a week. We miss the fresh baked goods William brought us each morning.

Room Tip: We stayed in the main house, however I did manage to see several of the other homes on the property...

PROVENCE PARADISE is a cluster of six Provencal farm houses from the 17th century. We began complete restoration in 2004 and finished in 2008. The property is perched on a hill just over St. Remy de Provence, which is not far from Avignon. It's only a 10-minute walk to the centre of the old village. Sunshine 332/365 days/year.
