“No SERVICES, incompetant workers”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

I arrived with guests to the Chateau and everything went smoothly until we ask if we could have drink in the "bar" - "Library" whatever... it was 18h00 on 9/11. The receptionist took our orders and quickly returned to say, there was no one available to serve until 19h00. I asked if he could serve us our quite complicated order... 2 beers and a glass of white wine? No, not going to happen. I was going to go up to the room and raid the mini-bar, and finally the "garcon" was able to to produce 2 beers (not the ones we ordered) and 1 glass of white wine. This place is a joke! I stayed here 10-15 years ago and it was better as a "rough around the edges" place, than it is today with it's "5 million dollar renovation"... renovate the mentality first. I did not stay for dinner, but my guests comment was "It was interesting"... not a bon debut! Their favorite meal in St Remy was at Da Peppe!

“Very good dinner in St. Rémy-de-Provence”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

We couldn't find the main entrance, so we walked in through the kitchen.

Vincent the waiter was great. He told us we entered through the "entrance des artistes!"

We had an amuse bouche of emincee of cepes and chestnut soup. Delicious!

My 1st course was scallops with orange slices and salad, and Larry got the shrimp croustillant.

Main courses were rare filet of beef filet for me with potatoes, and leg of lamb and sweet potato mousse for Larry.

Really good- 4/5.

Highly recommend when in St. Rémy!

“Superb Food Experience”
Reviewed October 25, 2013

We stayed at Chateau de Roussan originally for 3 nights in mid October. We weren't planning on eating at the restaurant at the Chateau and then we met Vincent who runs the restaurant (and chefs there one night a week). The food here is fantastic and Vincent makes it a memorable experience. We ended up staying an extra night and eating here 4 nights in a row.

Each night we ate the chefs special which was prepared from local seasonal produce and was different every night. Vincent recommended the wine each night which came from his favorite wineries in the area. The last night we weren't given a menu. Vincent and his Chef produced a special menu for us and it was one of the best meals I have ever had.

If you get the chance I would definitely recommend eating here. Take the time to have a chat to Vincent about the food they are cooking, where it comes from and the best wine match. You will be rewarded with a great dining experience.

“Great food, cozy surrounding and friendly staff”
Reviewed October 6, 2013 via mobile

We stayed at Chateau de Roussan and the restaurant is right inside. Dinnner menu started from EUR49 with entree, main and desert. Using the local fresh produce, everything was prepared perfectly. Ask the chef for wine recommendation.
