“Excellent lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

Busy place, great staff, food yummy. Only eaten at lunch but would definitely visit for dinner. Seemed to be full of locals which we thought was a good sign. Outside terrace has large umbrellas shading you from the sun, which you do need in this heat, but its not great when your surrounded by smokers

“When in Provence.......”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2013

Cafe de la Place in Saint Rémy de Provence is the best place for a Café Crème at any time, a (very) complete breakfast or a pleasant lunch. Frequented by both locals and tourists, it is friendly, efficient and an excellent place to meet friends or sit alone, reading the papers or magazines provided whilst drinking a coffee or a glass of wine. Free WIFI also attracts the internet afficionados amongst us. The breakfast Rapide brings you coffee/tea, croissant, yoghurt, fig confiture, bread, egg, ham, and salad and is excellent value at 9 Euros. For lunch there is always a choice of the day, salads, steaks and much more. The staff is welcoming and helpful, outside a lively terrace in the hustle and bustle of Saint Rémy, inside more peaceful, with a pleasant décor. I have been going here for years and the only thing I missed this year was my favourite waiter, Ludovic!

“Not great”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

Ate here on the off chance. Found it overpriced and very poor service. Burnt chicken and bacon ceasar salad and waited 45 mins for dessert. ..we eventually just paid and left. Wouldn't recommend.

“Not what we expected”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

After reading previous reviews we had high expections but however we found the food terribly
dissaponting and vastly overpriced compared to other restruants in the town which we had eaten.
Menu very limited certainly wouldn't recommend far better to be found down the small alleyways.

“Fun, friendly and local”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2013

Five minutes' walk from our apartment, this quickly became our favorite place for an early, mid- or late-morning coffee or tea. It's very friendly, the coffee excellent, and we felt at home there amongst the locals.
