The Moulin de la Rocque is a wonderful place in a beautiful location. It was somewhat difficult to find initially, but we were so glad we did. It is impeccably run by the owners, Guy and Gaby, who made us feel very welcome, and who spared no effort to make our stay so enjoyable. The accommodation was exactly as described on the website, appointed to high standards, and excellently maintained. It is ideally situated close to many marvellous locations in Provence, and all in all provided us with a great holiday. We cannot recommend the place too highly.

“Once is just not enough!”
Reviewed January 13, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Our stay at Moulin de la Roque was nothing short of delightful!

With an eye for detail and elegant aesthetics, the proprietors - Guy and Gaby, have restored this complex of historic mill buildings to a haven for travellers in Provence.

While we could only imagine how beautiful the property would be in summer, even in the 'off season' the beautifully restored Little Mill house presented us, two adults and a teenager, with warm, relaxed and private accommodation.

The village of Noves is a relaxing stroll away from the Moulin de la Roque and amply provided us with our daily baguettes and regional cheeses. While some may prefer to eat out, with such delicious produce available it was a joy to be able to cook for ourselves in the well appointed kitchen of our apartment.

We enjoyed Moulin de la Roque so much we are already talking about our return visit - only staying much longer next time.

“A little piece of provincial heaven, you won't want to leave”
Reviewed November 2, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Our family (children 10,8,5) stayed in Le Petit Moulin for a week in September 2013. We found the accommodation through Trip Advisor, so had no "personal" recommendation so to speak & it felt therefore like a bit of a risk. As it turns out, the reviews were absolutely spot on. The accommodation was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Picturesque, quiet, clean, homely & very conveniently located. Noves itself isn't very touristy or overly spectacular, but Moulin de La Roque is a picturesque little haven, & I actually preferred being a little distance from the tourist hubs of St Remy etc. We used it as a home base & went exploring each day to all the gorgeous little towns nearby. Whatever we did, whether it was a market day, a road trip day, a trip to the beach at Cassis or a lazy restaurant day for the lunch "menu du jour", we almost always ended it with a family soccer tournament (have never seen such an expanse of perfect grass!) & then a refreshing swim. Gabby, our hostess, was a great source of advice & was happy to do whatever she could to make our trip more enjoyable. From pointing us to the best bakery, ringing a "must do" restaurant for 2 days straight to make a reservation for us, or to sit with my husband trying to help him establish enough of a wifi connection to stream his beloved Aussie Rules football team playing in a final! The little supermarket in town had everything we needed for meals, with a fantastic array of french produce & freshly baked breads, so meal time was very easy too. The accommodation worked really well for us, but if your kids are on the noisy side or you're a light sleeper, the noise does travel a bit from the other levels, so you may choose to stay in one of the self contained houses. That said, the view from the 2nd level was spectacular & the space perfect size for us so I wouldn't have changed a thing.
