We were a party of 12, staying in Provence for 3 weeks.
We decided to stay at Moulin de la Roque for the entire duration and make day trips from there.
What a great decision! It became our home away from home! The gardens are just impeccable, the hosts are delightful, and accommodation is clean, functional, and beautiful!
The location is ideal for day trips to a plethora of delightful destinations! Our favourites were the Friday market at Eygalieres, the wineries at Chateauneuf du Papes, and horse riding through the olive groves in Paluds.
If you are travelling with children, I suggest requesting either the Tuillerie or there is one other villa right on the lawn (I have forgotten its name, but of course Guy and Gaby will know). They are both great houses with the very BIG advantage of being able to see the children playing while you drink wine/eat cheese and baguettes on the terrace.
Also, if you are thinking of booking la cuvee d'amour, be prepared to walk up some very steep steps to get up to your bedroom. Not for the elderly.

Many thanks to Guy and Gaby for a FABULOUS time in Provence! We'll see you again.

We loved this magnificent destination, the tree lined drive, beautiful grounds and well presented homes made for a perfect week long break in an otherwise busy 7 week European vacation.

Guy and Gaby are the ideal hosts and make you feel incredibly welcome from the time that you arrive.

We had two of the houses on the property, a two and a three bedroom villa - both of which proved ideal for the 9 travelling in our party. They were well fitted out, beautifully warm and positioned to take in the lovely views of this unique property.

“Fantastic holiday in Provencale Paradise”

We stayed in La Tuilerie in August 2012 for 2 weeks in a party of 3 children and four adults with an age range of 19 months to 89 years old! The property itself is superb giving the benefit of privacy whilst also being able to enjoy all of the wonderful benefits of the estate. Guy and Gaby are wonderful hosts who are always available to give advice on the area with nothing being too much trouble. The location of Moulin de la Roque is great for visiting the wonderful sites of Provence and we would recommend this to anyone interested in a holiday to the area. Only thing to consider for very young children are the staircases but we managed to secure these with the help of Gaby.

“A Wonderful Location for a Fabulous Vacation!”

To say the least, Moulin de la Roque is the perfect setting for the perfect vacation in Provence. We were warmly welcomed by Gaby, who quickly became our source of knowledge on the region! Thank you Gaby...you gave great advice and we are happy to say that your advice paid off in spades. From destinations to restaurants, Gaby did not disappoint with her recommendations! Of note, is a very good reference book in the house, which is loaded with relevant information pertaining to markets, cities, and all local destinations. This reference book provides recommendations from Gaby and Guy. We found this most helpful. The location was central to most Provençal locations that we wanted to visit. Also, because it was in the country, this location was very quiet.

We all loved Simba, the resident Bernise Mountain dog! What a wonderful fellow!

All staff were helpful and friendly..we appreciated them all!

The accommodation was wonderful and private, with a real taste of Provençal style. We hope to be back!

“A great place to enjoy the Provence”

We found the Moulin on trip advisor, and I can really confirm that the lovely pictures on the website can only show a part of the charming atmosphere that the Moulin has in reality. We went there as a family of 4 and stayed two weeks, of which one was together with my brother's family. It was just a great place to stay - the apartment was clean, well fournished, very pittoresk, had a well equipped kitchen and everything that was needed to have an amiable vacation. There was even a room service that cleaned our place after one week, changed the towels and sheets.
I was overwhelmed by the beautiful garden. It was gigantic, lots of bushes and flowers, it had such a well kept lawn, a good pool with plenty of chairs and shade under a big tree if wanted. For sports, you could do table tennis, table soccer, boules, trampoline jumping, badminton, or just anything that you wanted on the lawn.
Our apartment had a nice patio outside with a grill, and we sure did use it, spending quite a few evenings outside grilling, drinking the regional wines (Gingondas turned out to be my favorite) and just having a good time together.
The owners of the Moulin, Guy and Gaby, are great people who care about their guests, always available for some conversation or a quick invitation for a drink. They live on the premises, so you can be sure that everything is in order.
From Noves, you can do so many things in the radius of 80 km. So if you want to enjoy the Provence, the Mouilin de la Roque is for sure one of the great places to stay.

“Beautiful cottage in a perfect location”

Guy and Gaby go out of their way to make your stay at Moulin de la Roque as special as can be! Gaby gave us great tips on good restaurants in the area and we were not disappointed! The setting is great with a big lawn, petanque, badmington, table tennis and stunning pool, my teenage boys were never bored! We hired the 2 bedroom cottage -although only one bathroom, there are 2 separate toilets so it was never a problem. The kitchen is well equipped and all appliances look new! There is a washing machine and dishwasher. Noves is a great base to explore Avignon, St Remy, Les Baux de Provence, Arles, Chateauneuf du Pape, Aix-en Provence, Bonnieux and les dentelles de montmirail. Only one gripe was that there is no air conditioning and in August it was very hot and although windows kept wide open at night, if there is no breeze it can be quite uncomfortable (if you used to living in air conditioning like me!). But having said that we would still go back there for our next trip to Provence.

“One week was not enough...”

I am not sure I want to be too truthful about the wonderfully special place that is Moulin de la Roque for fear it will become too crowded and overbooked...but my honest side will prevail.
From the moment you arrive, both Guy and Gabby exude genuine warmth and hospitality. You feel not as a guest would, but as if you are a long lost friend they have not seen in years. Our week stay was woefully short, but we left feeling as if we made new friends rather than leaving just another beautiful vacation spot. And let me go on about what a vacation spot it is. Noves is centrally located with easy access to the Luberon, St. Remy, Avignon, and nearly all of the places one reads about in Provence. The clear and distinct advantage of Moulin de la Roque is the fact that your hosts are truly wonderful and eager to help in all aspects of your stay.
Guy and Gabby, please let me thank you for all of us for our wonderful stay. We look forward to seeing you again in the not too distant future.
