Description: Welcome to the rebellious alchemy of a modern inn Savour every moment of a rare and simple truth, a thousand thoughtful attentions and a host of sophisticated details. The old farmhouse, a timeless artwork set amid century-old trees and the sunny scents of countless flowers, invites you to discover its creative originality. The house, decorated by artist Roger Bezombes in the 1950s, is a riot of colourful mosaics and unusual curiosities. Like the painter's chosen palette, the three rooms and two spacious suites are bright and richly sensual. Each has its own elegant personality to fire a guest's imagination. The restaurant too is a magic place. Bernard's originality and humour infuse his spontaneous cuisine, inspired by the quality of the local produce he uses. The carefully-selected wines are gems that add a scintillating final touch. We cultivate the arts of hospitality and sharing.

After choosing from a long list of fantastic restaurants in the area we were looking forward to a lovely long lunch at Mas de l'Amarine and we were extremely disappointed.
After picking from a not-so-exciting menu we asked for recommendations of wine by the glass (we wanted to try a few different wines rather than sticking to one bottle) we were then 'recommended' or merely told that they had a good wine to go with our meals. As I was having fish and my mother red meat I was a little surprised that they had a wine to go with both. No explanation was given about the wine and after some questioning I learnt they only had one bottle open and did not wish to open another. The wine was tasted and when I suggested I would like to try something else I received a very rude response. This is ridiculous for a restaurant attempting to be of a high standing.
I was not feeling very happy by the time the meal arrived and although it tasted nice I was extremely unhappy when I found a whole cicada in the salad!
Finally, my mother has an intolerance to gluten. The restaurant was informed and a detailed discusion was had about this allergie. However, they obviously didn't listen or care because she was very sick afterwards.
Not worth the effort to get to.

Our hotel recommended this place which was a bit difficult to find. The effort to find it was worth it due to the unique surroundings, lovely food, and intimate setting.

We have been there several times and every meal has been a combination of innovation and deliciousness. Special plus for the deserts (my serious weakness...) as it was a struggle not to take two every time we had diner there (although I did fail once). The choice of wine has also allowed us to discover local wine producers which enriched the whole culinary experience. The staff was always welcoming. In addition, the scenery is beautiful and representative of the beautiful surroundings.
All in all, VERY good value for money.

Although it is not the easiest place to find, this hidden gem is a definite must for anyone staying or passing through Provence. A wonderful, whimsical garden setting and inventive, delicious Provençal food make for a perfect afternoon.
Go early and enjoy an apéritif on the patio before your meal.
