“Honest fare with pleasant tastes”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

we were recommended to go by our accommodation reception and were pleasantly surprised by the good vibe and tasty food. we were only having a snacky type meal after a long drive but were advised to try the fixed price evening special.
Very good value at E16.90 and did not have great expectations. The fish soup was not a loaded plate but was strong enough to get the flavour thru......hot and like a tasty veloute.
Mains were salmon and a steak for both of us and were good lashings of comfort food......very repleate after this but still had space for a tasty nugat offering. all in all good value, very good even flavours and the house picher of red was value at E7 so we were happy diners.

“Pretty good but not great”
Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

We wanted to eat at this restaurant as it was highly recommended (not just recommended) by Frommers. Saint-Remy is generally not what we expected, lots of traffic and the air quality and noise aren't good. The small streets that run through the old town are nice, but this restaurant is on the main road that circles the town. Steak was okay but nothing to write home about for sure. But our server was very friendly and helpful and spoke English. If I could do it again I might try Bistrot Decouverte (sp?) on the other side of the circle, read a lot of good things about it.

“Overpriced”
Reviewed July 25, 2012

This was total overpriced Italian rubbish. Nothing authentic from a Provence perspective and not good value for money!

“Great food at a great price”
Reviewed July 10, 2012

I loved this place. In fact, I thought it was some of the best food I had during our ten-day stay in France. My salad with chèvre chaud was delicious. The dishes were quirky, with many different things on each plate. All in all, a pleasant dining experience.

“Good quality ingredients”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

This restaurant offers good value for St Remy and good quality ingredients. The service is pleasant. A la plancha seems to mean that the food comes in several glasses, pots and dishes on the plate, which makes eating a bit fussy. You need to go early or book unless you actually like sitting on the pavement.
