Mas De Lure
Reviewed July 19, 2012

Stayed here 3 nights in july with a friend. Main purpose: lazy , stressless days
at relaxing place, quiet surroundings. And what a clean place. They have only
4 rooms , that is what we searched for. No hideaway with 20 rooms and neighbours
around the pool. It was exactly as we thought. Pool temperature, perfect. We were
alone at the pool most between 4pm and sundown. Great.
The bed was comfortable, at night it was very quiet. The breakfast was very good.
All you need and home-made marmelade, liked most the white peach with lavendel !
Very nice hosts, Roger and Marie and one of their daugther was there (sorry, forgot
her name).
You are in the middle of Provence, one day you make the Luberon, the other day Avignon,
then Les Alpilles with Beaux-de-Provence and so on. Just relaxing day-tours.
Congratulation, very good !

My husband and I absolutely adored our stay in this secluded part of Salon de Provence. It was comfortable, peaceful and a short drive to town for access to shops and restaurants. Nothing was a problem for the host, Roger so we felt welcome and relaxed. Loved the decor, lavender and happy hour on the terrace. We would happily stay here again.

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, rustic place in a great location, Mas De Lure is your place.

Roger and Marie are your wonderful hosts.

My wife and I along with my brother and his wife stayed here 2 nights - May 6th and 7th.

While not far out of the city, you feel like you are in a remote part of Provence surrounded by their olive trees and beautiful flowers.

Mas de Lure also has a nice pool to take dips on warm days.

We felt very safe at Mas de Lure with the security gate and their 2 large Bull Mastiff's - we really liked Anton...he's only 2 but very friendly after acquainting ourselves with him.

The morning breakfasts were very good with the special touch of their homemade preserves and jams.

We really liked the central location of this place...easily accessible to Aix, Avignon, and Arles.

I am also pleased to say that we were able to use our iPad with the WiFi they have on site.

Overall, we totally recommend Mas de Lure, particularly for the reasonable price they are charging.

We would definately stay here again while in Provence.

I loved staying here and didn't want to review it because I wanted to keep it my secret but then that would not be fair to Roger and Marie who deserve to be busy all year round. My friend and I stayed here for a week during the summer of 2010. We had a large room with en suite bathroom at the top of a wonderful stone staircase with views over the garden and pool. Each morning I awoke in our beautifully decorated bedroom to the smell of breakfast which was taken in the terrace under an awning. Breakfast seemed to be endless - jugs of juice, plenty of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, a little homemade fruity starter, lots of bread and pastries and home made jams. Wonderful! All served with great care and attention from Roger.
Our days were spent having a long breakfast, a relax by the pool and then out for lunch to neighbouring villages and then bit of exploring. We visited Arles, Aix-en-provence, St Remy to name a few of the places we visited. The only downside is that you had to go out for dinner every night - thankfully Salon was perfect for this as there were so many restaurants to choose from but the smell of the home cooking from Marie each evening was so alluring!
Roger, the host, was delightful and between my poor French and his limited English we managed to communicate.
Mas du Lure is set within it's own grounds and all you see around you is nature - it is most tranquil and beautiful and I will most definitely return one day - hopefully sooner rather than later!

This is a beautiful, charming and relaxing B&B. The setting is fantastic and everything is done with taste and love. The location is excellent for visiting Aix-en Provence, Avignon, Arles and the Luberon.
We stayed in room Valeriane which was in the ground floor and had a private entrance. The decoration of the room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. Everything was neat and clean. The gardens and the swimming pool were very well looked after and it was really relaxing just sitting on the terrace or at the swimming pool.
Breakfast is served in the terrace and you could even have an espresso! The hospitality and kindness of Roger and Marie reflect to the class of their place.
We had a great time and we are definitely coming back.

Me and my family stayed for 8 days on the propertie of Roger and Marie Ouillastre in Salon de Provance. We were looking for something reserved, calm, far from major tourist centers, with class and soul of Provance. We find all this and much more here in Mas De Lure. The location is of a unique beauty. All neat and well done. Clean rooms with beautiful decoration. A wonderful breakfast with croissants and a sort of jams made on site. Exceeded our expectations. The kindness and courtesy of Roger and Marie are also strengths of this place. I definitely advise anyone looking for the tranquility of staying in Provance at Mas De Lure.

Very comforting. beds sleep very well. Room Santoline has a shower in the bad, no separate shower. Not always in handy but the rest of the setting makes up for it.
Host is Roger. He doesn't speak English (just a tiny bit) but is willing to help you a lot with. If you know a little bit of the french language you will manage. He gives you a warm welcome and makes you feel at home. The place is very relaxing, has a swimmingpool and tenniscourd. The breakfast is oke. Bread, croissants, jam, fruits, yoghurt etc. Roger makes good coffee and tasfull fruitshakes.
The mas is set just outside Salon de Provence (village near Route de Soleil). This is a nice town (40.000 residents) with lots of restaurants and shops. Marseille, the Luberon, Camarque, Avignon are al close (within a hour drive). You need a car the reach the B&B and to get out of town easily. I would certainely recommend this place if you prefer a quiet, romancing place with a good host.
