No restaurant information on the web site, toll number to call, no replies to email or phone message....fortunately, I heard the regular number, scribbled it down to call...restaurant does not take reservations, so arrive early for Saturday lunch. Fine, we got that sorted out and assumed it was worth all the preliminary efforts. Toinou is conveniently located south of Aix, impressive seafood stand out front, slick, tasteful and bright interior. We ordered entrees, 2 Baby platters and 2 sets of 6 oysters. What we didn't know was that the oysters were on the platters, so the 2 people who ordered them sat and waited after finishing their entrees, summoned the waitress twice before learning that the platter people had been leisurely eating their oysters --- nobody counting or realizing what the rules were. Everything was delicious, and the remaining platter items were quickly donated to the deprived duo, who took it all in stride. Time for the bill, split for two credit cards. Waitress announced 70 euros per couple, entered 60, so we had to supplement the missing 20. By this time we were asking if perhaps it was full moon season. So, don't waste time and money trying to reserve, check what food is being put in front of you, and don't steal from your table friends. (We did see them buying oysters at the outdoor stand for their own private lunch the next day.) You will have a feast and want to return.
