The location is perfect, the view of the hotel is memorable and the design is really 21st century and fashionable. The lobby area is spacious and the reception staff friendly. Stayed here on a city break weekend. The Hotel is a little removed from the bustle but easy walking distance to an entire street of restaurants to the east of it. Walk a little further and you're at the main shopping avenues. We actually walked up to Notre-Dame de la Garde and back, but that might be a bit much for some.
Great breakfast buffet for €25, which is a bit pricey.

There are several good hotels overlooking the Vieux Port, but most are located at its somewhat congested/noisy eastern end. The Radisson benefits by being along the quieter, western end of the south quai - it makes for a more relaxing experience, while not feeling a bit isolated like the Sofitel further west along the same road. Plus, it is an easy stroll from the hotel to some of the nice neighborhoods and restaurants along the northern section of the Corniche. And, if you enjoy sailing, most of Marseille's chandleries and sailing clubs (and one of the world's best nautical bookstores) are within one hundred meters of the hotel entrance. For food, among other places, the highly recommendableTable du Fort is just down the road.

The hotel's service is characterized by youth and enthusiasm. The rooms are quite comfortable and large.

Only two drawbacks: (i) few rooms have views overlooking the harbor, and most that do would benefit from larger windows (if you don't mind the extra cost, specify a harbor-view room), (ii) despite the romance of its location, the hotel is burdened by the bland, corporate look and feel no doubt dictated by the Design Department at Radisson HQ (once inside the hotel, you won't know if you are in France or Kansas City).

We only booked a standard room but on arrival were upgraded to a better room overlooking the outdoor pool, the small side port and Fort St Nicholas - it was lovely. The staff were all very polite and helpful and the buffet breakfast was gorgeous. The location is great - very central for all local amenities. The only down point was the lack of parking, there is a car park directly behind the hotel so subsidised parking could enhance the experience.

A very chic hotel - great quality room with friendly, helpful service. Marseille can be a bit daunting if you've never been before, but the staff here helped to make our stay a pleasure rather than a challenge!

We stayed here during Christmas holidays and had a room to the little side street. There was a discotheque right opposite our window that was so noisy that the walls were shaking at night - horrible.

Otherwise, the location is ok, but there are more centrally located hotels in town.

The room had an ok design but nothing posh.

Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for your feedback.

I am sorry to hear that your recent stay was not up to your satisfaction and that indeed due to circumstances which are unfortunately not in our sphere of influence. Although I may assure you that the nightclub which was opened unlicensed and without the nscessairy equipment was closed in the meantime.

As often there is also a down side to being in the heart of the city and in this case its noise. So much it is relatively quiet and well isolated while the windows are closed travellers have to expect the noise of a lively city center when the windows are open in exchange there are only two steps to walk to be in the midst of everything that is interesting and exciting in Marseille.
An advantage that no other 4* Hotel can offer in Marseille.

In the hope to welcome you back soon,

kind regards,

We never thought that Marseille would be such a charming place to stay! Just a short 20 min taxi ride from the airport and we arrived to out centrally located Radisson Blu hotel. Being an employee of another Radisson hotel myself, I was a `differnent` kind of a guest ;o) The location is perfect, the view of the hotel is memorable and the design is really 21st century and fashionable. The lobby area is spacious and the reception staff (although people would think that in France they prefer not to speak in English) they greated us nicely and had no diffictulty with the language at all. The rooms are nicely warm and clean. Anything we needed was provided: extra coffee, taxi, late check-out request, ... We were all glad each morning that just a few 100 meters and we are where we wnna go and also every night that after the `The Theatre` we are nearly `home`. If we stay in Marseille again, we`ll stay there again ;o) oh and before I forget, the little fitness and the pool are Amazing!!! Badminton fecitily is something truly unique!!!!!!
