“one of the best hotels near the harbor.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2012

A polite, helpful, service minded and very professional staff but sympathetic at the same time. The breakfast is served in the room and the place is clean and has a very good quality/price value. No wonder it has been recommended by Lonely Planet…

I was there for the first time in 2004 and came back there just last week. I was equally satisfied! The low points goes to the size of the room. But that's all

Also the location of the hotel is amazingly great! Just behind the harbor and near all communications etc. The wifi is working very well, which is hard to find in those old buildings… I truly recommend this place!!!

The room was laughably small, only one plug in bedroom, which is a problem if you need to run a fan, charge your computer and your cel phone. Bathroom was surprisingly nice, large and clean, but has handheld shower-head which means you have to sit in the bath to wash your hair. Main problem with hotel is lack of real A/C. They have 'central air' but with the heat and humidity of Marseille in the summer, the room and hotel was very hot at all times. Without the fan I borrowed, I would have had to move to another hotel. TV is all French, no CNN or any English shows. Staff is nice- location is fantastic and the room was very quiet. Wifi worked well. But would not be staying at hotel again in warm weather.

Small hotel perfect location (Vieux-port) with small homely rooms but very clean. The rooms are in relation to the price. For a stay in this charming city, there is no way you want to spend your days or evenings at the hotel... The staff is pleasant, attentive and realy helpfull.
professional and friendly

This was an excellent choice. It's in a great location in the Old Port, very close to a metro stop - so perfect for sightseeing and handy for getting to and from the train station. Rates were pretty good value for July. It isn't a fancy hotel - so don't expect doormen and grand foyers. And OK, so rooms are small - but they had everything you need, including free wi-fi (and it's Marseille. It's not like you're going to want to spend much time in your hotel room anyway). Importantly, they also have incredibly helpful staff - very friendly at check-in and check-out, even though I speak no French. I also managed to leave a couple of items of clothing behind - and they very kindly sent them back to me when I posted them a envelope to do so, even though I hadn't quite included enough postage...I strongly suspect many other hotels I've stayed at would not have been so accommodating! So if you're looking for a good value, well located, friendly hotel for some Marseille sightseeing, I highly recommend this place.

Just a block from the old port which is the sight seeing centre of marseille. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room and hotel were fine and decent value for money.

Basic good value hotel in brilliant location. Friendly helpful staff. Room small and spartan but clean with decent bathroom. Surprisingly quiet (our room was at the back). Only one block back from the front. Very decent budget option.

This hotel is a little bit out of the way but comfortable, clean, and has all the modern conveniences. The bed is comfortable. The room and the bathroom are quite spacious and kept very clean. There is a hotel, fridge, and microwave which is very convenient.
