We wandered around to see the church, it's free to enter and visit. A nice enough church but I don't know if I would call it an attraction. Go see Chateau d'If instead! Now that is an attraction!

More facinating from the outside that its inside...typical of gothic style of cathedrals. Part of the inside is underconstruction and its quite dark on the inside, yet so peaceful.

The views of Marseille are worth the trip even if you are not interested in seeing the church. Church is lovely!

The outside of the Cathedrale was very eye-catching with the marble slabs alternately in black and white - like liquorice allsorts!
The inside was beautifully maintained and the ceilings decorated in minute detail.
Someone was practicing a choral piece when we entered and the acoustics were tremendous.
Would definitely recommend the stroll from the end of Le Vieux Port
