My husband and I took a morning hike up from the other side of the pier. It was worth it! Such a beautiful church with neat tradition. There are also trolleys you can take up if you don't want to walk.

A must see. Night and sundown would be fabulous just too tired this time. It has a nautical theme in the church. It was occupied by the Germans and liberated by the Americans and an American Tank is just down the road facing toward the church. So very cool!

We came on electric bikes - not for the faint hearted when they're starting to run out of charge, so a robust plan for arrival is essential. The views over the city and out to see are sensational. Inside, the devout have the opportunity to make a devotion - and our highly intelligent and well educated guide is convinced that it works. This iconic location, visible over so much of Marseille, is an absolute must on your visit here.

Absolutely spectacular... Be sure to see the back side as well as it is more beautiful than the front.

No cost to walk through and even though the line outside may appear long, it will move quickly.

Allow yourself some time to relax and reflect, or pray should you feel moved to do so.

this landmark is a must see. whether you pray or not; you can't miss the load of work and effort done behind this great monument. if you are passing by Marseille you need to check this cathedral. I believe it is very unique and you will sure be impressed and amazed
