Amazing, do make the effort to head up the hill - it looks a long way but take the petit train (7 Euro) up - well worth the trip.

The views are amazing over Marseilles and you can walk the paramater.

Excellent views, our only disappointment was that we arrived later in the day, so some parts of the site were closed when we arrived. We took the local transit bus up to the site and then back into town. The ride through the streets was also a treat.

So impressive as this beautiful church is situated in the highest point in marseille as you wont really missed it. One of the major local landmark regarded as a guardian and the protectress of the city. Getting here is very simple and easy just take bus 60 from vieux port or you can take the petit train a tourist train that goes up the hill and down.

The cathedral and its crypt tower over the city, so you can see it from everywhere. The best way to go there is by taking a bus. It's not too expensive and it goes straight there. the view from the Cathedral and its terrace is amazing, especially during sunset! The cathedral inside is beautiful too, and you can clearly see it's very important to the city's inhabitants (the many gifts and decorations are displayed everywhere). The cathedral stays open until the evening, but the last bus goes back quite early (at 19h30), so don't stay too long or you'll have to walk back.
