We stayed here for three nights. slightly out of main town but a short walk from shops and a variety of places to eat. The lobby on the top floor has an impressive view. Staff were all very friendly, welcoming and helpful on the reception as were all the cleaning...less so in the bar, pool and dining areas. Our room was very clean and had a fabulous view. Breakfasts had a very large choice and lovely view from the terrace. the large salt water pool was very deep and salty ( bit stinging on your eyes) and it was actually quite hard to swim in it as you were so buoyant, but you could float vertically without needing to scull...weird! Sometimes the sea mud as a bit smelly and sulphorous. Loved the natural rock and spring water in the heart of the hotel. Beware if exploring in the heart of the city though, it had a very menacing feel. We saw road rage and actual fist fights. There were gangs of bored looking men loitering and staring, it felt very threatening... we heard tales of British tourists being targeted for car jackings in the many underground tunnels which are apparently kept quiet in the news so that tourists are not deterred, so be careful out there. I would recommend a car journey to the lovely village of Cassis or boat trips rather than city visits. Tuna burger and risotto were good but food quite expensive and not a great range of choice really for a hotel of this size. There were missing plastic grids around the corner of the pool which were a dangerous trip hazard for young children, the pool staff on duty was disinterested until he fell in it himself... we noticed that it was fixed the next day! Pool towels were given in exchange for a plastic leisure card each day, make sure you return these on check out or you will be charged 25 euros for each one. Plenty of sum beds and parasols but the hotel was not very busy.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view

Good hotel. Free bottle of water in the room. Parking available at a cost. It is far from city center but close to the beach with nice restaurants and market. Rooms with no view to the sea is no view at all. Gives to a wall. So be aware when choosing.

So after reading reviews my expectations were high.. was a little let down by room we upgraded to superior but to be honest was not up to scratch the canta lever loo was wobbling on the wall and garden room was that but no access to it from room the staff were friendly and very helpful took me a while to get used to the high price drinks etc in south of France but at €15 a cocktail we passed a glass of local white wine €11 and half a beer @ €6 each we spent most of our time out of the hotel and saved a few euros...the pool was nice although a basic rectangle was cleaned daily the Terence was concrete and decking in need of refurb I believe this is happening this week don't get me wrong was a nice stay enjoyed it but felt it was a €120 not €240 a night hotel but as my first vist to the south of France my expectations we probably to high
