Location of this Ibis is great - next to station and therefore convenient for arrivals by train or Navette from the airport. Reception at check in was really friendly and we were given a larger room with 3 beds. So far OK, although the hotel really needs to be refreshed as very outdated in decor, etc. Then in the evening we tried to get items from the Petit Faim menu - only to be told anything we wanted to order was unavailable and we should go to the restaurant. We did - but nothing suitable for anyone wanting a snack and not a full meal. So went to the station to get something instead (and did this for the other days of our stay). What's the point of marketing a "Petit Faim" menu service at the bar if its not available and nothing suitable offered - the hotel has a kitchen!!!!! Then breakfast - chaos - stuff not available - in fact on the third morning there was no bread/croissants for quite some time. Other Ibis hotels with less staff can produce a better breakfast service. Expect this hotel makes good money for Accor Hotels, due to its location and no one bothers to check the standard of service it is giving. Reception staff, other than when we checked in and out (same person) were the least friendly of any in an Ibis hotel (and we have stayed in many in the UK, France, Spain, Italy and Poland).

It was good for our needs.

We definitely liked the location given we were taking the train early next morning, it's also within walking distance (hm, maybe 15 minutes to it) of main area of downtown.

There are no frills there, room is small, etc. so I wouldn't think of it as accommodations for multiple nights - but for one night we certainly got what we wanted.

Delayed flight but with the regular airport bus running to the bus terminal on the other side of Marseille Saint Charles station access was swift and easy. A warm greeting at reception and I was just in time to get a drink at the bar. Room was comfortable with a decent sunrise view across the city to the old harbour area. Breakfast was varied and good and set me up for my travels from the SNCF station next door.

If you want to stay somewhere close to the central station, then this is the place for you. Or else I would suggest to go to a place in the old harbour where all the restaurants and bars are.

The room was clean and though next to the station quiet throughout the day.

Only stayed here 2 nights on our way to Montpellier. The location is perfect, literally next door to the station. We checked in and our room was clean and extremely small but comfortable. We napped for a good 2 hours upon arrival. The bed was very comfortable!
At around 11pm, the room next door started being extremely obnoxious and loud and smoking out their window. We went down stair and asked if we could get moved, fortunately for us the gentleman downstairs, whose name I didn’t see (but he had very short hair and glasses, hats off to him, so lovely!) moved us to a bigger room and away from the noisy patrons.
Overall, the hotel is a great budget place to spend a few nights in marseille. The staff really are superb!
