“Pagnol in Marseilles”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

The Greeks were right: the Old Port of Marseilles is the Center of the city and the most beautiful emplacement in the city, especially since most of it has been close to cars.
Marcel pagnol in his famous trilogy, Marius, Fanny and Cesar, filmes the most famous scenes of the films of the Vieux Port. you have to see the fish market and the Mairie, and the Theatre de la Criee....

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

Great choice for a location for a weekend stay in Marseille - lots to see and do and great choice of restaurants. Very clean and safe area to walk and sightsee. Check for events in 2013 as lots going on for City of Culture - Carnaval while we we there.

Lots going on here although also lots of renovations which I feel should have been completed as it is the capital city of culture. Enjoyed walking along the port , looking at fish market and having coffee etc

Enjoyed the Vieux Port area. It was lively, there's a fish market in the morning as well as tons of restaurants and shops.

“quite, clean, good occasion to take some food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

Nice place to be, when the weather is fine it is a must to take some rest in one of those restaurant terraces there. In march not very crowded and you can meet a lot of local guests
