La Pension Edelweiss

Loved this place! Our room was beautiful and large with antique furniture. We had two little balconies that each opened onto the street with windowboxes that we kept open most of the time. The owners were SO FRIENDLY and helpful and spoke enough English to get by. They give you a key so you are completely independent while you stay there. There is an express espresso machine and water heater available for use anytime. You eat at the wife's cafe nearby for breakfast and it's such a lovely change of pace to be served bfast in a cafe while at a B&B. The cafe has a great vibe and the breakfast was more than sufficient. For reference I was traveling with my boyfriend and we are both in our late 20's. I recommend this place to EVERYONE!

Our room was awesome! It was big and decorated with awesome antiques. The small patio was nice, the weather was perfect so a lot of the time we just left the doors open. David, the owner, and his wife are so nice! They gave us tips on where to go and what to do around town and the breakfast downstairs in their apartment was absolutley wonderful. The only thing that was a drawback is how quiet you are told you have to be when coming in and out of the pension, it is very old and the staircase is loud and the doors are hard to unlock so it is nearly impossible to come in late and be quiet...if you are wanting to party or be loud then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend then this is your place!

Lovely heart-ful couple who manages of a very clean modest pension with a funky charm. They are warm, very helpful and speak a fair amount of English. A breath of fresh air when in a foreign country. Breakfast (modest) was included. A bit loud occasionally on the Marseilles streets below our window on Saturday night.
