“overpriced with bad service”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

When you pay this price for dining, you would expect to dine in a spectacular place with designer interior, impecable service, top range food , may be live music, and in one of the world capitals. This was none of the above. One of the few similar looking establishments that was a smidge better than the others by look. The prices we saw on the menue outside gon way up at the cut off time 9pm, so no surprise after 9 pm it was easy to get thd table. Not a great looking place, but we were hungry. When we asked to substitute potatoes to veg or salad, we were told the kitchen not onlywill not do it, but will not even take off the plates . Whe also asked not to bring bread, and what we got on our table? Bread and potatoes. The wine was given to taste, but the water bottle was put on the table with no attempt to fill our glasses at any time through thd evening. As for the food, it was ok, the calamari quite tasty, all the rest we had wasn't anything spectacular. Fish soup, wok fried tuna and crayfish (cray fish was the tiniest chipest of the kind) asparagus with poached egg and cheese. On the bright side the poached egg was perfect. I would rate it as good only if the price will be halved of what we paid.

“Over priced and inflexible”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

Our first night in Marseille after a long drive and we wandered around the waterfront without checking TA first - a mistake! We went to what looked like a stylish restaurant with a good menu Like another reviewer we (just) missed the set price menu although it was still advertised outside. I accept that I am unusual in that I don't eat bread/potatoes etc but when ordering I asked if they could substitute salad for chips on an a la carte menu and was told "no". Then I asked if it could be left off the plate and was told "no, that's how chef does it, if you don't like leave or give to someone else". We asked for no bread. "Why?" was the response! Regardless of that it came and we were told this was "different bread" which came with the soup. I ordered another dish which was quite tasty and generally the food was good but VERY overpriced for what it was. We live in Limassol which is anything but inexpensive but it was still a shock. Lesson of the day: however tired you are, check TA before going out

“Great food,typically poor french service”
Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

Eaten there a few days ago. The food was excellent, fresh and eloquently prepared. The sea bass was perfect. A bit pricey, but as expected. Znfortunately, the 17€ menu was finished for the day, but I beileve it to be great value fir money, as the food quality is excellent.
However, the service was quite poor. One waiter struggling with four tables, spoke barely any english and treated as boring tourists who need to leave their money and leave. Awful. All possible language barriers can always be dealt with politeness and a smile ad well as a general effort, but the french do not seem to grasp the concept. It's called the service industry, after all! The people experience is equally important as the sites, and my personal dining experience is always strongly correlated to the service level. This was not a pleasant one, and after my second trip to France with the same impressions, I do have to say: you
need to loose the attitude,people.

“perfect seafood restaurant”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

The friendly and accommodating staff made our visit to Le Fetiche the highlight of our day in Marseille. The boulliabase was prepared table side, and it was fantastic. One member of our group didnt like raw oysters, so the staff happily fried them up. Fantastic!
