Location is excellent, only 1 min walk from Marseiile main station (Marseille Gare St Charles). That is about the only thing that is excellent. Rooms are nice and big and clean, but the cleaning lady didn't clean our room once in 8 days, although we were told she'd clean it. my friends paid for a one-bedroom, 4- beds apartment, but the double bed was actually a colapsable sofa. It was incredibly uncomfortable. The staff knows English, but are not overly helpful. There is free wi fi in the lobby.

Room Tip: If you can, ask for a room that is not overlooking the railway station, because the noise is unbeara...

This hotel is a few steps from the Gare St Charles and very convenient if arriving by train. The small well equipped kitchenette is a real bonus and the rooms and bathrooms are a good size. There are 2 metro lines serving the station and only two stops to the Vieux Port.. We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip to the Cote d'Azur and would stay here again. The only downside was the breakfast which on both occasions was chaotic with the one waitress not having time to clear the tables as she had to run out from time to time to purchase more bread!

Pleasantly near to the station and metro so easy to get out and around. Room was very good with kitchenette though I didn't use it. Could have no complaints about any aspect to be honest. Did not have the hotel breakfast.

If you are a trainspotter you'll love the views from the rooms overlooking all the TGVs in the station. Anyone else - avoid it!

Staff were impersonal - chatting on the phone (on a social call) for 20+ minutes while guests were waiting to check in. Breakfast area was small, crowded and you had to clean a table yourself to sit down. Hot water was unreliable and air-conditioning didn't work - rooms were unbearably hot so you had to open the window - whereupon all the road works, train noise and station announcements were painfully loud.

The rooms were modern and had standard business facilities, including a kitchenette, but all the 'aparthotel' concept to me seems to mean is that they won't clean your room each day (unless you pay extra).

Neighbourhood is rough and potentially unsafe, especially at night.

Most unimpressed.

We passed by this hotel for a night on our way to Spain, it offered good value for what we needed. The location is not fabulous but acceptable, wireless is only offered in the hotel lobby, which is a bit inconvenient, Reception was closed between 12 and 2, so was the main entrance... VERY odd and inconvenient.

Located right behind the train station in a very unattractive street.
Positive: Large rooms, sufficient toiletries, bathrobes, combi-oven in the kitchenette, supermarkets nearby, near the train station & buses.
Negative: Street is full with parked cars, so parking very difficult if not impossible. Impersonal reception, cheerless building and dreary corridors. They make you pay for the room upon arrival. Very hot rooms (in November), temperature control didn't seem to work. Open shower in the bathroom, so everything gets wet. Ceiling panel in the bathroom was loose, so there was a big gap in the ceiling. Basic small kitchen block where a lot was missing: no washing up liquid, sponge, scissors, wooden spoons (or anything else to stir with), lid from the microwave cooking bowl was missing, glass coffeepot in the coffee maker was missing (so it cannot be used) etc. When you check out, you have to take out all your litter yourself and put it outside the hotel in the garbage container! Make sure you clean the kitchen block well, or they’ll make you pay extra (debit your credit card). I took a photo as a proof that we did our homework properly!
We paid about 96 EUR (no breakfast), so it's no good value. There's nothing terribly wrong, but I would certainly never go again.

As previously said the area is not amazing but the location (for transport) is perfect, the hotel is clean and warm and the staff are extremely helpful. I needed a plug adaptor and they found me one within seconds. Would certainly go back there.
