rooms are big enough with windows .Toilets are also big with good water pressure. The owner is very kind and we stayed 2 nights. He also let us take a shower before taking our night train! For sure I’d recommend it and location is fantastic.
This little gem of an apartment is perfectly located for all Marseillan excursions local or otherwise. It is only blocks from great museums, restaurants and cafes. The apartment is outfitted with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay while vacationing in Marseille, especially the great bed, kitchen and well stocked travel library. It has so much unique character, from the nice iron made staircase to the old world beamed ceiling. outfitted with all of the most modern conveniences (including great wifi). Anik cares that his guests are happy and comfortable and she is genuine in wanting to make your stay the best. A wonderful place to cook a meal, sleep or share a glass of wine or two. I will definitely return.
We have just returned from a perfect holiday in Marseille. The apartment is very well equipped and in a great location close to the Vieux Port. It is so comfortable. It was really good to stay in such an historical house that was clearly on one of the Marseille walking tours and which was visited by classes of schoolchildren. A small plaque signifies that Napoleon lived in the building, while he was in the military. There are many bars and restaurants nearby and a fantastic market only 10 mins walk away. The apartment is close to buses and the metro. The arrangements for booking etc with Anik were no problem at all. One minor point, make sure you get a demonstration of how to unlock the door of the apartment - we did have a little trouble with that. In summary, a great apartment in a fantastic location. Thank you Anik - hope to visit again in the future."
We just recently stayed at this wonderful apartment. It is light, clean, felt spacious and was well appointed with a warm vintage feel. Its just as the photos show and had everything we needed.
The location on the edge of the Panier suited us - close access to everything but quiet to relax and sleep. You can walk mostly everywhere, but there are metro and bus stops close by- so getting to and around different areas was easy.
There is a choice of 2 bakeries nearby to buy croissants for breakfast and 2 convenient spar shops.
Ms Anik is very helpful and kind. The apartment had instructions for everything as well as recommendations and brochures for ideas to visit in Marseille. The restaurant across the road -Au bout du Quai - was a nice surprise. Delicious food, reasonably priced and excellent wine! Would absolutely stay again- highly recommended.
