We were told by a French woman that we know, that this is one of THE places to eat authentic bouillabaisse in Marseille. And we wanted to experience the real thing. First, the views from inside the restaurant are amazing--it's on the coast of the Mediterranean. The meal is huge so skip the appetizers. Your culinary journey starts with the amuse bouche, followed by a small gazpacho, then your bouillabaisse starts with a rich, thick fish stock served with bread and aioli. Next they present the whole fish that were cooked in your stock, they are then taken away to be separated from the bones. The fish is returned to your table, along with more stock. At the end of the meal, they bring around the cheese cart. Oh how I wish elaborate cheese carts were more common in the U.S. Theirs had about 15 cheeses and they all looked amazing. We didn't order desert, but they bring you 3 small bites of macaroons. Yes, the bill is going to be expensive, but that's just how it is. You'll eventually forget the price tag, but you won't forget the food or the views. Don't miss this experience.

Last night we had the pleasure of dining at l'epuisette. The whole experience was exceptional. We chose the 95euro menu & loved every last little morsel of it!!! The menu was, stuffed zucchini flower & truffle, small boned fish with bruschetta, loup fish with mushroom crust & mushroom risotto, pre dessert of red berries, dessert creme brulee (like none other!!) and petit fours. All divine fresh flavours. The staff were friendly & helpful & fun. We also had a provence Rose for around 50euro. The setting is stunning, I don't think that there is a bad table in the restaurant. We loved it and thought it was well worth every euro. A real fine dining experience!

A perfect spot to celebrate my birthday; a breathtaking view and a wonderful ambiance. We had a lunch which seemed to be made in heaven; perfectly prepared langoustines; great lobster. One of the best restaurants I've been to. For those that already visited this place, cherish the memories; for those that are still an epuisette virgin, if you are around and care about heavenly food, this is the place to be.

Spent our first night in Marseille dining in l'epuisette and really enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is quite modern and like a large rectangular glass box sitting out into the bay. Our table was brilliant, our view was of the whole bay with people swimming off the rocks, people fishing, sailing boats tying up and the occupants having a picnic. It was like a theatre performance ending with a gorgeous sunset. The food was delicious too. We had the bouillabaisse which was served as two courses. Would definitely recommend, for the food and the view.
