This was such a great place to stay — everything from the owners, to the grounds, to the room was wonderful. My fiance and I couldn't have asked for better! We were in the Pigeonnier Suite, which was great since it had a second floor bedroom with gorgeous views of the surrounding area. Some of the other B&Bs we saw when driving around Gordes were lower in the valley, which lacked the amazing views we were able to get from being at a higher elevation. As soon as we were shown our room, we received great dining, sightseeing, and shopping recommendations from the owners, all of which turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. The breakfast consist of fresh pastries, jams, fruits, and yogurt in a relaxing and charming common dining area. Others complained about noise from the main road, but we didn't notice this at all. The location is an easy walk (but on a somewhat busy road) to Gordes Village — about 15 minutes; convenient enough to grab some wine and snacks from the markets, bring them back and enjoy the beautiful views.

This place was ultimately a disappointment and I do not recommend it for other travelers from the US.  While the rooms were pretty and the pool was nice to enjoy, that was the end of our positives for this experience.  There were were a few little things that were slighty problematic but not huge issues such as the very firm and uncomfortable beds or the lack of towels for the pool.  The main reason I would not recommend it was the service.  Unfortunately the owner seems to be overwhelmed by her job as a bed and breakfast owner and seemed put out by our infrequent and minor requests for such things as a towel for the pool.  She spent the last two hours of our stay in the last morning berating us and our traveling companions about all the problems she had with us including the fact that she had no place to store our luggage or bikes that she felt was visibly acceptable... she also didn't like that we hung a clothesline up in the room to air out our biking clothes because it was unsightly (which is why we thought we were being thoughtful not to hang anything outside the room).  She was appalled that we didn't have cell service in France because we had I-phones and wouldn't believe us when we explained why ours weren't functional in europe because our phones didn't have a GSM chip.  Thus she was extremely annoyed that we asked to use her phone to make a dinner reservation (and definitely didn't offer to help make one for us).  Then when our driver for luggage transport called her to reach us she refused to help leave a message for us and told him to call back later, but then was annoyed that he called her back a couple times.  Unfortunately we were left with a very sour taste in our mouth about this place which took away from the things we did like, which unfortunately boiled down to aesthetics and nothing else.  As a pretty extensively traveled person, this was probably the worst I have ever been treated by another person while on vacation and I like to think that I am pretty open minded with low expectations.  Gordes is beautiful so don't miss it, but stay somewhere else.

OK, so we turn our beautiful b&b into a call-center with 24 hours personal assistant-service and free phone, and our rooms into laundry-places with drying-lanes all over , because 150€ for 2 persons is to much for a 60m² Suite with lovely views on the village of Gordes and the mountains, private terrasse and a high-quality breakfast!
Sorry, we can not except your point of view and judging on the way we do our thing, many others our delighted, but they understand and open their mind respectfully to a different and personal way of hotel-expieriences. Greetings and thanks to them...

We stayed at the B&B as part of an 8 day bike tour through the Lubricon region of Provence. Our initial impression of le Beaume was that it offered quaint, pretty grounds, with spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated rooms. Overall, we were happy with our stay, until we encountered the service. We are traveling without mobile phones, and therefore, on two occasions, asked to use the house phone to make local calls - once for a dinner reservation, and once to arrange our transport on the departure date. When we arrived at breakfast the next day, the owner - Wendy - complained extensively about the inconvenience she was caused by having our travel company call the house phone to arrange our transport. When we attempted to apologize and explain that it we did not leave the company the house number, nor did we request a call back, she not only questioned whether we were telling her the truth, she also questioned why we were not using our cellular phones to place calls. When we explained that our phones did not have the GSM technology to operate in Europe, she again suggested we were being untruthful, by replying "Well, you must be the only american's because iPhones of all other travelers work here". A rude and misinformed response, at best. On the same morning, when our travel companion brought his bike closer to his room location in the center of the courtyard to more easily pack his panniers, she asked that he move the bike back to the parking area indicating "I try to keep the space looking nice", then she went on to complain that they had hung clothing inside their room to dry (bathing suits from the pool that had been wrung out and placed on a makeshift clothesline inside the room). From what we could gather the "offense" was that the clothesline was unsightly... we are still perplexed since the clothing was hung inside the room, and the only person exposed to this "eyesore" was the maid when she entered to clean the room. We also learned later from the contact at our travel company that Wendy refused to take a message from him indicating "this is a B&B, not a hotel... we do not have reception and therefore do not take messages for people". Really?
The final question my travel companions and I are left with is... why run a B&B for a living if you clearly do not enjoy the most important part of your job... servicing your guests and making them feel comfortable? Unfortunately, our two wonderful days in the amazing town of Gordes came to an end with an unpleasant exchange with the owners of la Beaume. Not only will we not recommend to any traveler who expects even the most basic level of service (even asking for an extra towel was perceived as an inconvenience), we were also told by our travel company that they will avoid using this establishment in the future.

We arrived at Mas de la Beaume planning to stay 2 nights, we ended up staying four. It was such a great place to base ourselves for visits across the region, a short walk from town and the views across to the village and the valley were amazing.

The place itself was so fantastic, we stayed in October and the weather was beautiful. It was peaceful and quiet. Sitting by the pool reading and enjoying the gardens and surrounds. A really relaxing experience.

Wendy and her family were very helpful in pointing out local things to see and fantastic eateries. Our room overlooked the new gardens, olive trees, views of the next fields, all enjoyed with a lovely glass of champagne and some cheese. What more would you want from a Provence experience. We want to come back!

We stayed 2+2 nights with Wendy and her family. The B&B is on a truly great location and has a nice garden and fine swimming pool. The safe parking is a plus. The rooms are tastefully furnished, clean and with fine bathrooms. Overall service is good. Wifi coverage could be improved - only in the wintergarden. Breakfast is wonderful, nothing to be desired! Prices are somewhat high but reasonable given the hotspot location in Gordes. The Suites are in our opinion overpriced.

We stayed at this Mas for three days as part of a week exploration of Provence. It was a nice stay especially for my wife who stayed here 10 years ago. The location and the house are still the same. Our room was in the back of the house, nicely decorated and quiet. Breakfast was nice but it missed something, perhaps a little bit of Provencale tradition. Un petit peu de quelque chose special.

I'm shocked at the poor reviews this place got. It's absolutely fantastic and definitely deserves much better publicity than it is getting. We absolutely loved it and will definitely come back!

It is a 5 minute walk from the pretty town of Gordes and is "hidden" behind a wall along the main road into town. It's true that there is construction going on but it is during normal working hours and didn't bother us in the least. It really shouldn't put people off.

The rooms are decorated in the style of the Provence and are absolutely charming and very comfortable. Nice bathroom too. The garden and pool are small - but big enough - and certainly very pretty. We spent lots of time there and had plenty of privacy as well as nice interactions with the other guests.

The owners, Wendy and Miguel are Flemish and totally live up to the very high Belgian standards of quality & service. The breakfasts were to die for. First of all, breakfast was served on our little porch so it was as if we were 'at home'. Each morning Wendy set the tables for breakfast with pretty table cloths and napkins which made us look forward to it every day. She serves delicious baguettes and viennoiserie with homemade jams and extra treats like chevre with honey or proscuitto, fresh juice, plenty of good, strong coffee.

They did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. And in the end, we ended up staying for 3 nights instead of 1 so they did an excellent job! We were sorry we had to move on and promise to be back again! K, M, K :-)
