Great hotel. We got a room upgrade, which was great. Restaurant delicious and they were really amenable when we asked to swap courses etc, despite having a Michelin star! Very friendly and not poncey like most French restaurants. Breakfast delicious and spa amazing. Best scrub I've had! Gym minimal but got the essentials to work off the French food portions! Pool amazing. The fire was a particular highlight - the smell of a proper French fire. Hotel worth every penny.
Be aware there were lots of children and families, so some crying at dinner. On the whole hugely relaxing though, and didn't really find the children annoying - well behaved.

So, the good things first. The restaurant is top notch, brilliant classic French haute cuisine. Location and grounds - excellent, beautiful views, well kept. Lovely outside and indoor pool. The service was average; good in parts but not consistently good. And the rooms were a major disappointment; they would perhaps have been classed as 5 star 10 years ago but now they looked tired, needed refurbishing, in places (such as the cupboards) really primitive. My wife had a (very expensive) facial in the "spa" and emerged with an allergic reaction. And just a note, you really need a car because although they have a shuttle to the village it is pretty isolated. I am afraid some of the other reviewers must have been looking through rose tinted spectacles; this is very over priced for what you get, by modern standards.

A bit pricey but beautiful views and fabulous restaurant. Excellent service. They showed us a few rooms I would not have been happy with given the pricing. Out of town so be prepared to drive. Massage was nice but given that it was supposed to be a "spa" hotel I was surprised they didn't have more amenities... Internet was pretty slow.

Went on holiday in the Luberon and discovered this gem. The hotel is beautiful and perfect to relax and disconnect from the stress of the year! Last but not least the vistas you get from the outside area are just stunning. Left enchanted, already booking for next year!

Room Tip: Our room, 'Des Lys', had an amazing view!

Very chic, chill out, relaxed hotel located on a small hill top just outisde Gorde. Also very close to that famous Abbey on every post card. Lovely garden with plenty of levendar. Very pleasant outdoor swimming poor with a bar, perfect for soaping up the sun with a drink or two and some light lunch. The restaurant has a M-star, and terrace if weather permitting. The food was great with a sufficiently large wine list to match. All the bread are freshly baked there. Stayed in a Lilly room, which comes with large bathroom and a small secluded garden.
