The chapel is kept by some sweet old ladies, nuns, who live near it and are willing to explain in details what ones sees and how Matisse organized his work. They are really helpful and care a lot about their chapel and about the visitors. I must thank them from here, once more. The whole idea of constructing, equipping and decorating the chapel in such an original way, is brilliant. It shows the genius of Matisse as well as the deep search he accomplished before he has decided to execute these final designs. Those days the provocative Picasso believed Matisse was unable to execute such a work, but I think he was very wrong there. THe final result is wonderful!
