We only stayed for one night. We had booked on the internet at a significant discount from the advertised rate and so were pleasantly surprised to find on arrival that we had been upgraded to a traditional junior suite. This was very spacious, very comfortable, well equipped and had a huge bathroom with separate shower room and toilet/bidet room. There was a large terrace with sun loungers and a table and chairs which we were unable to use because the weather was bad. The room had a superb view over St Paul de Vence to the sea. We both used the sauna and steam room and had massages. Dinner in the gourmet restaurant was really very good. The "Mystery of the Egg" starter was amazing. The hotel grounds were delightful. Service was impeccable. We have stayed at some really great hotels around the world and we both think that this may be the best we have visited. Our bill was about €1,000 all in.

Even if the service and attention to details weren't as good as they were, I would probably give it 5 stars just because of the location and views, which are breathtaking. If you cannot stay there for any reason, plan for a visit!

Everything was perfect, and the food was incredible (we had dinner in the smaller restaurant and breakfast there)
Rooms were big and we also got some nice gifts.
Even the bathroom deserves to be mentioned!

Stayed there right after summer, so the hotel was not crowded. I did not test the spa, tennis courts, etc, but nevertheless, this is an amazing place, highly recommended.

My favorite hotel in southern France. This was my second visit in 12 months. Rooms are enormous by French standards -- probably closer to a jr. suite than an ordinary hotel room. Most have large balconies from which you can see for what seems like 30 miles. There are really no bad rooms here. Food is simply outstanding. The grounds are lovely. Pool is enormous. Service is quiet and efficient. It's a driving destination -- one can't really walk anywhere from here. It's about a 25 minute drive to Grasse and 20 minutes to St. Paul De Vence, so it's a reasonable base for touring the area. The bar is lovely, but be forewarned that some of the offerings can be a bit pricy (a rose champagne for example can run about 30 euro). No negatives and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: At least one of the rooms is in a turret and has 2 floors facing the valley below, although ordinary...

My wife and I had visited Chateau St Martin a few years ago. It was so good that we decided to go back. Sometimes returning to a hotel where you had a good stay previously is not a good idea. This stay did not disappoint. We stayed in a Superior Junior Suite. The accommodation was very spacious but best of all a large balcony with two recliners and a small table and chairs where you could relax. The service at the hotel was fantastic and although expensive we felt we had got good value. Highlights each day were the breakfasts with fresh fruit, wonderful pastries and bread, continuous coffee service and freshly made hot breakfast dishes such as omelettes, poached eggs etc. The infinity swimming pool was fantastic. When we went the hotel was moving into low season so there was plenty of space at the poolside. I suspect it is much fore crowded in high season. Although this hotel is pricey which is to be expected for a 5 star hotel we will definitely be going back again.

The chateau itself was charming and the gardens were lovely to walk, run around in. It is better than the photos itself. You have to be there to fully appreciate the full magnitude of its beauty and history of this place. The location near the mountains, the olive groves and the tranquil setting is magic! After a long haul flight from Perth, Western Australia.....it was the best place to enjoy and recuperate. We had our two and a half year old daughter....and when we were presented our suite overlooking the sea...i noticed the personal details like box of coloured pencils, teddy bear cookies, orange juice and a little bath robe for our daughter and was touched. We had a lovely time, enjoying the poolside, having lunch underneath the olive trees. The food and service was superb! We would like to thank the porter, Derek who was very helpful.

Room Tip: A room with a view, away from the restaurant noise.

The pool area is a nice place to spend the afternoon after a tough day of vacationing. Great spots with views for dining and or drinks. Food and service is of the highest quality.

This is a beautiful spot just outside Vence - having a car is almost a must here - I certainly recommend staying here as opposed to in the old city of Vence. The rooms are spacious. The view from the patio where we had drinks every night was beautiful and relaxing. We had one of the best meals ever in its 2 star restaurant - and an almost equally great meal in its 'rustic' restaurant. The concierge gave us great tips for day trips. Valet parking was quick and painless. A great place to explore this area of France.
