very pleasant hotel, with very helpful staff. good dinner service with average wine choices...

If youre working in the region and want to be away from the hurly burly...then this is a good option.

Its a shame its so far from the coast ...doesnt quite make it an easy option for popping to the sea. However the pool does a good job and i would guess, not many use it as a holiday destination, more as a business drop in destination rather than a fortnight on the cote d'Azure .

The only real downside to this propert similar to other Mercures is the bedding and pillows....woefully inadequate support.

I'm very lucky in some respects in that my work takes me all over the world and to many hotels both large and small. I have been staying in this hotel on a regular basis for the last 8 years and have to say it is one of my favourites. Yes it is a part of the Mercure chain (and though always good they aren't always outstanding) but this hotel feels like a small privately owned pension. Perhaps it is the pool (interesting shape, with a little platform for kids to jump off) or the loungers around it and a table tennis table, or it might be the gardens or the terrace restaurant (good for sunny breakfasts and moonlit dinners), the low level but very comfortable accomodation (on 3 floors only) or the bar / lounge area (complete with pool table) or, almost certaiinly the staff (lovely, warm, friendly, helpful and look out for Fred - chef de reception - really lovely guy) but this place always feels like a home from home. The food is good and not too expensive, the staff welcoming and the place feels to me like an ideal place to rest and recover from the travails of the working day or even your holiday. It's my home from home. I would say book it.

Room Tip: Even numbered rooms face the pool - nicer and away from the car park.

There was nothing really special about the Mercure. Neither good - nor bad.

Staff was friendly and efficient though certainly not going out of their way or "the extra mile". The room was a bit dated but still quite ok and clean. Bedding was sub-par with only few pillows and not to comfortable - most hotels these days get that part rioght but some still don't.

The location is ok for the technology park in Sophia Antipolis but certainly not for anything else - you do need a car! Facilities are limited but adequate - if looking for more leisure facilities and nice bar/restaurant the Country Club would be a more suitable chioce. However nothing wrong with the limited choices at the Mercure here.

Overall ok for a short business stay, with some shortcomings when it comes to bedding and room.

"Average" is the word that best describes this hotel. I stayed there for a few days on a business trip, I originally wanted to stay at the nearby Sophia Country Club, which was fully booked. Some colleagues were staying at the Country Club and it is definitely much better than Mercure in many respects.
Mercure has a nice garden, which I guess is very nice in a suitable season. Staff was not very friendly during my stay and my room was not made thoroughly every day. I was surprised there was not a mini bar in the room. Restaurant is good and they offer room service. Bath cosmetic was not top level.
There are a number of hotels in this particular area, situated very close to each other. They are very conveniently located to the business park in Sophia Antipolis. Car hire is recommended for getting around, as the public transportation is difficult to cope with.
The entire area is a nice green park, with the cities of Sophia-Antipolis, Valbonne and Antibes jointed together. It is beautiful in the spring, locals told me it is quite hot in the summer.

Room Tip: I guess all the rooms are very quiet, the hotel is surrounded by a park. However, i guess the rooms facing the inner garden are better and they have more sun during the day.
