“Superb staff made this a great base camp for Nice, Cannes et Grasse”
Reviewed July 8, 2013 via mobile

We booked 9 rooms here to attend my sons wedding. There was a problem with the air-con in our room. The staff were most attentive and went out if their way to help us out. They also assisted with guidance about the area and were keen to ensure that we were well looked after. Special mention of thanks to Clemence et Laetitia. Merci!

It was late and we had nowhere booked so we came on this hotel by chance. Warm and friendly reception and onto our room which was bright, clean and comfy. We slept well. Our bathroom was absolutely clean and so we had no issues at all. It is really a hotel for a night or two rather than a holiday and for this is is absolutely fine.

There is a smart and very clean pool area to lounge around in and just chill in the sun! There is not much around the hotel and the nearest village is Valbonne a few minutes drive away.

We ate in the restaurant right beside the hotel and it was fine...not gourmet and a little pricey for what you got. I am sure most of their business if from the hotel. We did not have breakfast as it was pricey so we went instead to a great little patisserie and boulangerie at Valbonne.

It was a very good hotel for the night, bright, clean, friendly and we had a good rate.

The hotel's situation is excellent, with good road links (though a car is essential) and a quiet neighbourhood, once you're inside the air-conditioned, double-glazed rooms. We found the hotel clean and tidy. The beds were particularly comfortable and the bathrooms spotless. However, the towels need replacing as they are well past their best: too small, too few and lacking in absorbancy. The smaller-than-anticipated swimming pool was excellent although the pool-side lounger cushions were grubby and the advertised pool snack bar was firmly shut throughout our stay.We were disappointed that the room service was not available despite clear indications that it was operating in the room information pad. Breakfast (vastly overpriced at 15 Euros (or £12) per person per day) was of a good quality. It's best to avoid the Prestige rooms two of which are poorly positioned for privacy and sunlight. Nonetheless this hotel offers a comfortable base for touring with an abundance of affordable and attractive restaurants and cafes in nearby Valbonne and Plascassier.

Room Tip: Avoid front of hotel Prestige rooms.

The hotel is hard to find, so print a phone number or map directions before you leave. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and first impressions are great. But it appears not much money has been spent on the hotel for some years. We stayed in a duplex room by the pool. The rooms are ok, not huge, with a queen bed up some very narrow stairs and a single downstairs and a nice balcony with great views. The location is country and you will need a car but we used it as a base to go to St Tropez and Grasse.

We stayed here with my brother and his family for a family wedding last month. We were mortified when we saw the place - the photographer needs a knighthood for doing such a flattering job on this place.

My brothers family 'duplex' was so awful they were almost in tears. It was hot, small, rickety stairs and no more than a 1-2 star standard by any stretch of the imagination. We had to complain and ask for them to get moved - and then we encountered the manageress. Not a pleasant lady.

Our 'superior' room was OK, but it had a terrible smell about it - a mix of fags and damp. Never again.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel - unless desperate!

1. Seems like it's close to Cannes? It's a 30 min drive on slow winding roads, and a 50 euro taxi cost, each way. If you drive yourself, you WILL get lost because you pass a hundred confusing rotaries.
2. Dogs were barking all night, couldn't sleep.
3. Rooms very old, the hotel itself 3 star quality at best.

The pictures are very deceiving. We booked a four night stay, but left the next morning.

We stayed six nights in this hotel for a golf holiday and we have been totally satisfied. Nice location, good service and a great relax. The rooms are nice and big with a small terrace which is a very nice plus. From this hotel you can easily reach the most beautiful locations in Coté Azur like Cannes, Antibes, NIce, etc. The small village of Valbonne is really near. We'll get back!
