Parking in the height of the summer is a nighmare, travel by ferry if possible. Gets extremely busy and very hot but it all adds to the experience and you can bag some really good bargains providing you are happy to mooch around the stalls.

this market is a must, but get there as early as you can in order to secure a parking space in the Parking Du Port, and also to try and avoid the crowds......well worth a visit, despite all my derogatory comments.

The Côte d'Azur is not known for low prices at all and in St. Tropez is everything is even more expensive. However the market (tuesday and saturday morning on the Place de Lices) atracts loads of visitors and it is quite understandable why. There is a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, foods, clothes, tableware, antiques etc. etc. If you hate crowds stay away, if you want to find bargains you might be disapointed. Beside locals there are many tourist. The cafes surrounding the place are very busy and also not very cheap.

However if in St. Tropez or near it I recommend visiting the market anyway

Nice market with a good range of food, clothes and garbage, but always a great atmosphere. Be warned though, this is Saint Tropez so if you want a break be ready to pay 6€ for a cappucino!
